  1. Records applied with label should be moved instead copy. since it is very difficult to delete the source records without declassifying them

Really cumbersome action to declassify and delete the source records. also, as per compliance the records shouldn't be declassified. Please provide a move option in ShareGate.
Hence we can move the records in first migration and non-records will be copied in incremental migration.

  2. Map permission levels to SharePoint groups

I would love to see a permission mapping feature in the future. Not just permission levels, but the ability to take users that are explicitly assigned at the source site and automatically add them to the destination site SharePoint site group. This would be especially useful in those cases where source site users have been given "Contribute" permissions at the site level, then we could automatically add them to the Members group of the destination "classic" SharePoint Online site. This way, when we upgrade a "classic" SharePoint Online site to an Office 365 Group, the people are automatically transferred into…

  3. Change SPO site URL in bulk

We often have customers who want us to conduct SPO modern site collection (GROUP#0 template with nested O365 Groups) migrations between O365 tenants. Many times, they want us to append a suffix to the URL of each SPO site when it is migrated from the source to target O365 tenant. Currently, Sharegate Desktop allows this to be done under the "Options" menu when conducting a "Copy Structure" migration job. But it only can be done when migrating one SPO site at a time in the GUI. It can't be done in bulk. When you have 500 SPO site collections to…

  4. Automate SPO tenant to tenant migrations that have modern GROUP#0 templates with Sharegate Shell

We often have customers who ask us to conduct SPO migrations between O365 tenants. Most of the time, the majority of the in-scope SPO sites are modern sites with the GROUP#0 template meaning they have nested O365 Groups. Currently, the only way to accomplish this scenario is in the Sharegate Desktop GUI. It cannot be done in an automated fashion using the Sharegate Shell. When there are hundreds of modern SPO sites being migrated for a project, it can take days of work pointing and clicking within the Sharegate Desktop GUI in order to conduct these migrations. Putting in some…

  5. Customize the way the files are renamed with the parameter Keep Both

When the operation mode is set to "Keep both" , add some menus to customize the way the file is renamed.

  6. Re-start migration from a BreakPoint

Re-start migration from a BreakPoint. Example: X% data to be migrated today & the rest later

  7. Add unresolved users to check-in comment

In order to keep track of the unresolved users, it should be great to have the option to append the user display name to the check-in comment.

  9. Orphaned User Feature - add Field to item

i know we have mapping to re-mapp accounts from the source to another account that exists in the target. but unfotunately, with that, we loose information about the document editors and authors. A additional option to add automatically 2 fields "original author" and "original (last) editor" during the migration as "free text" to make item metadata from the source available on the target would enhace "trust" from users to migrated content.

  10. Make it more clear when copying sites

Hi there, I did a test with the trial, copying a subsite to a sandbox area. Before I commited and started the copy running I waas unsure whether I needed to create the destination subsite first. Because I couldnt tell and it was just a test and didnt matter I did create the destination site first and then started the copy but then after the copy completed I looked into the destination site and found nothing was there and got very confused. It took a little while for me to realise that it had copied the site as a subsite…

  12. Add users to Active Directory Group during the migration process

ShareGate Desktop doesn't directly query Active Directory during a migration and is unable to add members of an Active Directory group to match the Source. Currently, this has to be done manually outside of ShareGate.

  14. Start migrations from the Explorer

Is it really so that I cannot easily navigate to site via Explorer, and then start Copy from there, but I need to separately go to Copy, log in, do MFA, etc. each and every time?

We should be able to initiate a copy from the Explorer

  15. A switch to remove the mandatory fields from list or libraries during the migration

A switch that would remove the mandatory fields for the time of the migration and then put them back to ease the migration

  17. Connect to All Sites you have access to

I know there is a way to connect to all Sites and One Drives if you are a Global or SP Admin but, I am currently do not have those permissions. It would be nice if I could connect to all site collections that I'm a Site Collection admin of without having SP Admin rights. Connecting and maintaining connections to each site collection individually is not feasible.

  20. Lookup field not intact

Instead of providing multiple workaround to retain look up column
just have the login to do it in automated way.
Other migration tools do it by first migration without lookup column and in second iteration wih lookup colunns.
