Review Auto-Assign as Site Collection Administrator Process
Review the way Sharegate uses the auto-assign feature
- Handle differently per type of site (OneDrive, Groups, Team sites)
- Setting per tenant / farm / connection
- Option to auto-remove after each operations
- Handle special cases (eDiscovery sites, NO ACCESS or Read-only)

We still feel like the Auto-Assign as site collection administrator is a useful option in certain case.
If you encounter an issue you can always refer to this documentation to fix it. https://support-desktop.sharegate.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000647528-Can-I-remove-myself-as-an-administrator-after-I-have-auto-assigned-myself-as-one-

Allow licensing per user instead of per machine
We use virtual desktops (VDI) and it seems that your licences attach themselves to computer names. As we use VDI terminal our computer names are never the same. The way that you currently track licences make using ShareGate very unattractive.
We purchase many licensed software solutions and all except ShareGate run in a VDI environment without having the deactivate the licence every time you use it. Could the license model be changed?

Shared tasks history
The ability to see and interact with jobs that other licensed users have been working with. We have 5 admins and seeing what they’ve got going and interacting with those is an important need for us.

Customize the access to only certain Sharegate features
Possibility to provide a user an instance of Sharegate so that they can only run reports and not have access to functionality such as migration.

Partner Portal - Sales History - get the customer license manager encrypted url
To provide partners to help customers with license issues, its nice to open the license manager of the customer from the Partner Portal.
In the Sales History its possible to view the license code of customers. But to see the usage of the license we need to ask the customer to provide us the license manager (encrypted) url to view there license manager.
Would it be possible to make a button/link in the Sales History so partners can access the License Manager of the customer?

Allow licensing management from the Sharegate portal and Sharegate support portal
It would be important to have an area available in the Sharegate Portal (http://sharegate.com) and Sharegate support Portal (https://support-desktop.sharegate.com) with all licenses associated with our account and be able to manage them, including deativating the license. We had a problem with the PC where Sharegate was installed and were unable to recover it and the only way we currently have is to access the licensing portal to manage our license is through the Sharegate Desktop application. If the application is not available (problems with the PC), we cannot acess the licensing management page and have to…

Dark Edition or Option to Change the Interface to a Dark Theme
I have been using ShareGate for over 4 years, and it is one of the only tools I use that does not offer a Dark Theme. Could you introduce the option for Color Theming.

License group management
Allow ShareGate accounts with multiple seats to have a primary and secondary administrator, who can manage those seats vs. making it accessible for all licensed users to edit existing assignments within that license group. The current setup is not optimal for enterprise situations.

Restrict licence management to a specific user
CJ Owens from inforeliance wishes that he could restrict a seated user's ability to manage (activate/deactivate) the licence's seats for himself and other users. It would be nice if a managing user could be determined.

Web version of ShareGate Desktop
Great product, only if it was accessible through the web from anywhere, this would be an outstanding product.
Works great on workstations, but you have to setup the dedicated workstations to not "sleep".1 vote -
Local cache
It would be nice to see in some persistent way in the app the last time the local cache was updated.

Default settings for migrations - structure & content
During migrations often we need a configuration that is different from defaults eg migrate without retaining permissions. It would be good to be able to set this at an application level so that human error cannot happen. Perhaps have 'Application profiles' for certain activities, that remain until you change them.
This happened to me where I did not uncheck 'preserve permissions' on a network drive migration and now have 100,000s of documents with incorrect permissions.
