We would like to bulk update the metadata of a library. However, we would like to keep the current version number of the documents, so it cannot be increased when we use ShareGate to bulk update the metadata.8 votes
would be really good if your product created a site map of all site collections and sub sites across the farm in a visual diagram that could be saved as an image or pdf46 votes
I’m curious to hear more from you about this one.
-What kind of information would you like to see in such a site map?
-What format you’d like it to be?
-What would you do with it? Who would you show it to?
Thanks for your help!

Lately we decided to shift most of our energy towards migrating, managing and adopting Office 365. When we create new features, we make sure they also work with SharePoint on-premise (if possible), but we are not planning on developing more options of features specifically for on-premise at the moment.
I’ll keep the suggestion open and our ears are still open to new comments.
- Ability to import a list of source-destination pairs (ex: CSV file)
- Ability to set up a batch of multiple migrations from the UI
- Connect multiple sources to a single destination (or vice-versa)

- Find all workflows that are running or in-progress
- See the name of the workflows
- Run report on workflows, out of the box, SP designer, Nintext, 3rd party
- Be able to create a report that will list the status of the workflows
- Report on workflows published by a specific user
- Report on how many workflow tasks are assigned to a particular user
We’ve release a version of Workflow reporting a few months ago and are trying to figure out where we are going with this.
Please tell us what you would like us to add to this feature.
It would be neat if you could take the SharePoint inventory report and drill down into the individual stats :
- Expand workflows since they do not show up in the errors that you can export
- Be able to click on a summary like unused sites and see a list of all the unused sites
- Expand checked out files, custom master pages, unsupported templates
- Sort site collections by size, number of sites, workflows, etc.
-Be able to know what permissions the users from a specific AD group have access to.
-complete list of AD groups used in SharePoint
-List all the users in AD groups used in SharePoint20 votes6 comments · 06- Permission Matrix Report and Permission Management · Flag idea as inappropriate… · Admin →
-show number of views to a site, or a document.
-show number of visits and of unique visitors.
-show trending content.
-show number of other audited events.
-show most active users.
-Run it on the entire farm and show stats by sites.
The goal is to monitor internally the user's experience with SharePoint.165 votes

This is not in our short or medium plan. We understand the need but don’t feel like it’s our priority right now as we focus on the adoption of the modern workplace.
Remove all users in a site collection without going to each sub-site and removing them from security groups.
I have over 700 users that need to be removed in multiple sub-sites and various security groups. It would take me forever to remove them if I have to add their names individually.
Being able to select many users at a time in the search section for features like “remove permissions”. For now you have to search for one user, add it, search for another one, add it, etc.43 votes
We understand that the situation is not ideal, but we have no plan on doing this for now.
We might get to this eventually.
It would be very useful to undergo a report for Webparts within a site collection.
Checking which webparts are open and in use within a site collection if important for migrating accross platforms. This type of report would be VERY useful for SharePoint teams as it would highlight sites which need attention from the developers (if a webpart is custom for example) to ensure they dont break.
Please can this be added?
