Teams and Planner migration - list of elements from each environment
In the GUI, add the option to show or not the list of Teams and Planners, or to avoid to do the fetch when you connect. This is to avoid waiting for so long when you connect against a very large environment. Since normally a Teams or Planner will be copied as a new, it is in vane to do the fetch in destination.

Since there are more than 100 companies around the world that use vanity/custom URL, it would be nine that ShareGate can cover it.

dashboard dates format MM/DD/YYYY
The Dashboard for the Teams management tool has dates in DD/MM/YYYY format and I have never used a tool in this format and I accidentally set the wrong date. Please allow MM/DD/YYYY format for US clients.

When an error or prompt pops up like "time to re-authenticate" no one ever sees it. Have a way to notify the admin team of the error
We run our migration servers with minimal supervision. When an error or prompt pops up like "time to re-authenticate" no one ever sees it until users complain their data is not being migrated (we are moving data from file servers daily). If these prompts could trigger an email or some other alert to a designated group, we could deal with the issue right away.

Permission Matrix Configuration Improvement
I would like to be able to configure a matrix report to run on certain sites only. For example those with names beginning "Bob-* " where the matrix reports on all sites are ...sites/bob-* (* being wild card) . This would cover the creation of new sites that use the prefix, and reduce the size of a tenant level matrix for all sites,, which is a long report.

Language preference
Hello,
I am a new ShareGate user. While using the tool last few days, I noticed that it does not allow the language to be changed. We have a tenant in another country and we use English language. Because the tenant is in another country, some of the default folders, lists or libraries that are created show up as a different language. I had to check in the individual folder/list/library property to see which folder I want to use as my source or destination before action for the migration.There should be a possibility to allow the language to be…

Release powershell process after job is submitted
I think there should be an option to just submit the job to the ShareGate client (like you do in the GUI), and then release the PowerShell process for other work.
The ShareGate client would then scan and upload to storage blob and show reports etc how thing goes. This would also allow us to close the PowerShell window after submitting the job. As now, if it’s closed, the job is cancelled, and you need to restart it.

Add Microsoft Power Automate actions for Sharegate Migration
I need Power Automate actions to better support many Sharegate migration activities while those migrations are running on a VM. PLEASE CONSIDER THIS FEATURE REQUEST!!!
Some examples of important actions i would like to configure in Microsoft Power Automate would be:

When using the tool over VPN with an unstable connection, it would be good to have an option to
When using the tool over VPN with an unstable connection, it would be good to have an option to keep trying the connection more frequently in the next 30 seconds. In my experience, after getting the Lost Connection error, once I click the retry, the migration continues right away. It is a waste of time waiting for 1 minute or more where after a second the connection is back and stable again for some time. This is specially useful for migrating large amount of files. The time to retry increases as well so would not be really efficient.

Convert Teams Channel to new style Teams Shared Channel
Teams Shared Channels are the new Microsoft feature for easy cross-tenancy collaboration. Microsoft do not have a tool to convert existing Teams Channels into Shared Channel.
We have a large number of standard Channels with Guest account members and would ideally want Sharegate to permit the conversation (or copy) of the standard Channel to a Shared Channel, and migrate the Guest accounts to External accounts in the destination.

allow using existing explorer connections to perform copy operations in the desktop app
In the ShareGate Desktop app we can connect to various sites.
However, when using the Copy > Copy Content function, there is no way to select one of the sites where we have previously connected.
So:
a) we cannot take advange to sites where we are already connected tob) we need to place the URL, connect to the site, add the credentials and do these every single time
I would be a great improvement if we could just pick an authenticated site from the explorer as our source or destination sites

Feature request
I'd like to be able to get a report of retention policies/tags applied at the site/library/item level. I looked in all the available filters/columns in custom report creator and didn't see anything.
With Microsoft putting so much effort into expanding their retention technologies in M365, this would be very useful.

On the Scheduled Tasks page have the ability to sort based on Task Name
All the columns on the Scheduled Task page allow you to sort ascending or descending (Type, Next run, Last run, Recurrence) except for the first main column Task which is the task name. When I'm trying to find a specific task name and there is no search feature, it would be nice to be able to sort on this column.

Trigger Schedule Jobs other than by Time
I need anything other than time to trigger a scheduled job. It could be a Powershell call, the existence of a file, some event, etc. I have scheduled jobs that I would essentially like to "unschedule" because they are dependent on some external thing to get done first, before they can run. I have to schedule them, because I need to use Browser authentication for SharePoint, which is a pain for managing over 200 jobs if you attempted to do it with Powershell.

Planer migration: do not list all the planer -> enter one planer
Planer migration: do not list all the planer -> enter only the planer you want to copy.
We have a very large environment with over 13000 M365 Groups. When you want to copy a planer you have to enter the roor of your tenant and it takes over one hour until you can pick the planer that you want to copy.
It would be great if you just could enter the planer that you want to copy straight away.1 vote -
