Hi, permissions work great for adding new or removing existing but editing requires 2 steps, one to add and one to delete. An Edit option would be real nice. Even better if I dont have to find and select the groups that are already listed.6 votes

-Be able to know what permissions the users from a specific AD group have access to.

- Metadata: ex. set mapped value or default to fill in empty fields
- Page layouts
-show number of views to a site, or a document.
-show number of visits and of unique visitors.
-show trending content.
-show number of other audited events.
-show most active users.
-Run it on the entire farm and show stats by sites.
The goal is to monitor internally the user's experience with SharePoint.151 votes
I have a requirement to export “External User Invitations” to show a list of Pending invitations and it would also be nice to have a list of invitation history too.5 votes
Authentication through MFA with external applications is complicated to set up and only works if authentication is retrievable by Browser.9 votes
Please show the number of custom Sharepoint groups and possibly the members of each one.

Migrate list workflows without migrating its list12 votes
Pull reports on duplicated files or documents. Clean them after.63 votes
This is not in our short or medium plan. We understand the need but don’t feel like it’s our priority right now as we focus on the adoption of the modern workplace.
I’d like for globally published workflows to show up in the workflow section so I can migrate them.19 votes
A feature through which we can correct the links...
-located inside pages
-located inside documents
-located in any type of migrated item
-links pointing to unpublished documents.166 votes
It’s been a while since this suggestion has been updated so I just want to let you know that after re-evaluation, we still not planning on adding such a feature in the near future.
We will continue to read your comments so don’t hesitate to send in more.
Thanks again for sharing your feedback.
I want to migrate only the Profile Data12 votes
Remove all users in a site collection without going to each sub-site and removing them from security groups.
I have over 700 users that need to be removed in multiple sub-sites and various security groups. It would take me forever to remove them if I have to add their names individually.
Being able to select many users at a time in the search section for features like “remove permissions”. For now you have to search for one user, add it, search for another one, add it, etc.38 votes
We understand that the situation is not ideal, but we have no plan on doing this for now.
We might get to this eventually.
It would be very useful to undergo a report for Webparts within a site collection.
Checking which webparts are open and in use within a site collection if important for migrating accross platforms. This type of report would be VERY useful for SharePoint teams as it would highlight sites which need attention from the developers (if a webpart is custom for example) to ensure they dont break.
Please can this be added?

Display more details while operation is running and as summary on completion:
- Elapsed time
- Breakdown by sites, lists/librairies, files, items instead of just "items" and "objects" count
- Possibility to drill down progress breakdown by site, by list
- Size of processed data (+ total if possible)
- Inbound / Outbound network speeds
- Remaining time (if possible)
- Time / size of Azure upload jobs
For Migrations in PowerShell, add -vebose like cmdlet to allow users to see the progress of the migration instead of waiting for the migration to finish/script execution to end.109 votes
We don’t plan on adding progress indicator as we feel it would only become misleading because estimation are really hard to make due to technical limitations.
Sharegate currently does not support Audiences on WebParts :
Warning for version 1.0: This page contains WebParts that are filtered to specific Target Audiences. Preserving the Target Audiences settings is not currently supported by Sharegate.4 votes
This is a limitation on Microsoft’s (SharePoint API) side. Given that Audiences has seen no improvement in several years, it is doubtful they will every add support for Audience manipulation on classic webparts.
If an Audience feature is added on Modern (SPFx) Webparts in the future, we will support it.
Quickly compare source and destination content in order to see what needs to be incrementally migrated and to prove to customers that every item from the source made it to destination.

This is not currently in our plan to allow our users to compare two environments.
We might do it in the future, possibly starting with permission as it seems like it would be the most useful part on security level.
