Custom rules or columns, and more built-in columns in Inventory and migration/pre-check reports
[Admin: Merged all suggestions pertaining to inventory- or migration-related reports. This will allow better understanding of the priority of this topic]
Pre-Check and Migration reports
-Add more columns (sizes, end times, etc.)
-Also enhancement to the Session summary screen to include URLs, total size, etc.Inventory
Would be very good if we as users can customize the rules and columns:
-Add custom columns like Site owners
-Be able to change the settings of the inventory (ex: change the unused sites time to x months)
-Have more available details at each level (Number of items, Last modified date, size, etc.)
-See…54 votesWe have no plan of improving the Source Analysis (previously known as the Inventory) for now.
We might eventually come back to it (or the pre-check) and will let your know if we do.

Report and actions On Alerts
Reporting:
-list user alerts filtered by site or by user, showing which object/list is targeted
-show me where "user X" has alerts
-show me which users have alerts within "site A"Actions:
- Remove alerts for orphaned users54 votesHello ShareGaters,
I was going through the comments in this thread and clearly understood your desire of visibility over user alerts (who created them, type of alerts, etc.) but I am curious to hear how the info would be used, how you would consume the info and most importantly, do you also feel the need to take any kind of actions over the alerts?
I hope I’ll hear from you soon!
Thank you

Run a Source Analysis (formally Inventory) from Powershell

Migration Queue
Be able to create a Migration Queue where a migration job will start only when the previous one is completed.
Example: SG Job 1 Starts > SG Job 1 Completes > SG Job 2 Starts > SG Job 2 Completes > SG Job 3 Starts > SG Job 3 Completes > and so on.
[Original question]
Can we schedule migrations that start when another finishes (dependent)? Not with PowerShell, but with the current UI.52 votes -

Visual site map of all site collections
would be really good if your product created a site map of all site collections and sub sites across the farm in a visual diagram that could be saved as an image or pdf
46 votesHi everyone,
I’m curious to hear more from you about this one.
-What kind of information would you like to see in such a site map?
-What format you’d like it to be?
-What would you do with it? Who would you show it to?Thanks for your help!

Add Email Field in All Reports
It would be nice if reports could pull emails instead of just names. I know some reports can, but not all.
- Audit Report
- Permission Matrix Report
- Built-In reports
Email address linked to the user. ID also for pre-build reports

Remove All Permission/Turn on Read-Only of Source Site After Migration
Users wish to lock their sites during the migration to avoid having to deal with any user changes, during, or post migration.
Having a feature that would extract all the source site permissions (I'm thinking PMR), strip it and leave it read-only for everyone, and then allow to use the extracted permissions to re-apply them at the destination (or source if they wish to), could be very useful for a good number of users.

Multi-user selection in the search section for features "add/remove/copy permissions"
Remove all users in a site collection without going to each sub-site and removing them from security groups.
I have over 700 users that need to be removed in multiple sub-sites and various security groups. It would take me forever to remove them if I have to add their names individually.
Being able to select many users at a time in the search section for features like “remove permissions”. For now you have to search for one user, add it, search for another one, add it, etc.
43 votesWe understand that the situation is not ideal, but we have no plan on doing this for now.
We might get to this eventually.

Better Permissions Matrix Report (PMR) Export
- Model PMR extract in Excel as Pivot Tables and charts.
- It would be useful to be able to export the permissions matrix report as a PDF file, as well as a spreadsheet. -Export the PMR as a HTML report

Support the Office 365 unified audit logs
The legacy Audit Reports are no longer available online and have been moved to the Exchange Unified Audit logs in the Security and Compliance Center. The Audit Reports in ShareGate Desktop no longer provide the details for the events we are looking for. "Unable to extract the event details."

Create a new PowerShell Command to use the Export metadata feature
Some users would need to be able to generate the Excel Spreadsheet for their metadata using PowerShell. When automating a complex migration, having an export for all the lists with a foreach loop would be a powerful way to take full control of the data during the migration project.
