  1. Preserve Column Default Value Settings on Folders

Default settings set on library should be migrated also, both in library and list as on folders.

  3. Preserve the Toolbar Settings of a Home Page Web Part

Currently, this setting is not preserved. I'd like Sharegate to preserve the toolbar settings for webparts.

  5. Replace/Map user across environment without doing a migration

I see that I can map users during a migration process to change, but is there any way I can update just the user? Like, replace my name all over their site collection with a different user in an easy way with this tool?

  8. Add/Remove/Copy user permissions with PowerShell

Add powershell cmdlets to add/remove/copy user permissions.

This could be useful, for example, for a user that needs to replace thousands of users due to an AD domain change, it would be useful to be able to use a CSV for all the users

  9. Audit report - exclude users

    • exclude system accounts

Good morning! I wonder if there is a way to have the Audit Reports have a checkbox to say "don't show system accounts" or "WE" can build them "ignore the search crawler account and the system account" as a checkbox so my results do'nt need to be filtered. I have a user who had permissions changed and I am looking for it. I want to find out which user / group moved it / changed it and I know it's not the search account or ME / system account. Just offering a sugestion! :)

  10. Support Power automate (Flow) in Migration

Migrate Flow integrations attached to lists and libraries

See if we could potentially convert old email enabled lists to the equivalent Flow integration

  13. Web Part Report

It would be very useful to undergo a report for Webparts within a site collection.

Checking which webparts are open and in use within a site collection if important for migrating accross platforms. This type of report would be VERY useful for SharePoint teams as it would highlight sites which need attention from the developers (if a webpart is custom for example) to ensure they dont break.

    Please can this be added?

    -Hogan Lovells LLP.

Google sites as a source is not on our roadmap. Our current focus is Office 365 management and security.

If you have any other questions, just let me know and I’ll be happy to help.

  16. Generate Sharegate Excel Files Using Powershell

We would like to be able to generate Sharegate Excel files using powershell. This would greatly help in automating the entire proces of migration for the powershell modules we have built around all of the other Sharegate powershell commands.

I would like to be able to have a command that produces the intermediate excel file like you can generate from the UI.
    Input params would be:
Network location , siteurl, documentlibrary name, propertymapping, contenttypemapping, outputfilename, outputfolder.

What would be even more awesome if you could think up a way to be able to insert Excel formulas into the propertymapping when…

  17. Migration of Attachments from List to New Library with Metadata

Some users might want to move from a list with attachments to a document library. It could be interesting to have a GUI option to do so.

  18. Forgetting and/or Not Remembering Site (credentials) options in Sharegate Explorer

When connecting to a site in the Migration tool, you have options to not remember the site, and you can forget sites that are already remembered.

It would be mandatory to not preserve that information in the Sharegate Explorer as well for some users. It seems to go against policy to do so.

  19. Allow licensing per user instead of per machine

We use virtual desktops (VDI) and it seems that your licences attach themselves to computer names. As we use VDI terminal our computer names are never the same. The way that you currently track licences make using ShareGate very unattractive.

We purchase many licensed software solutions and all except ShareGate run in a VDI environment without having the deactivate the licence every time you use it. Could the license model be changed?

  20. Migrate List or Site Templates

Allowing to migrate list or site templates ahead of time could save a lot of time for many users instead of recreating at destination
