Add powershell cmdlets to add/remove/copy user permissions.
This could be useful, for example, for a user that needs to replace thousands of users due to an AD domain change, it would be useful to be able to use a CSV for all the users18 votes
- Create a report what will list all list/site content types that have workflows attached to them.
- Find content Type with workflows
- Is there a report for Content Types in Use and which list they might be in?
Would like to have a report that would list folders and/or document libraries that have been created but are empty. Right now I'm looking at easily finding empty folders.
This way, we could easily delete them.18 votes
I have an audit report that I run weekly for a site collection and it times out from time to time. Is there a way to "retry now" to run the report in the All Tasks, Tasks window. There is Refresh, Add, export, etc. is there one that can be set, or when you open it "failed, want to retry now?" Thank you.17 votes
Dear Sharegate Team,
Do you plan to integrate MS Teams as Object Type into "Reporting" in a future release?

It’s been a while since this request has been logged. Since the creation of this thread, Microsoft has added a lot of management and reporting features regarding Teams so I’m curious to hear what kind of reporting does not exist yet that you would like to see implemented in ShareGate?
Currently, the root site needs to be migrated to move its corresponding default.aspx page. I'd like to be able to migrate the Default.aspx page alone.17 votes
Currently, this setting is not preserved. I'd like Sharegate to preserve the toolbar settings for webparts.17 votes
It would be useful to have a report to get all metadata for a whole site, but thinking further, If the Bulk Edit Metadata would work on a site level, this would allow more flexibility with the destination paths and general management of a full site and would become an easy method to get full metadata exports.17 votes
Default settings set on library should be migrated also, both in library and list as on folders.17 votes
It would be very useful to undergo a report for Webparts within a site collection.
Checking which webparts are open and in use within a site collection if important for migrating accross platforms. This type of report would be VERY useful for SharePoint teams as it would highlight sites which need attention from the developers (if a webpart is custom for example) to ensure they dont break.
Please can this be added?

We are planning on adding this feature as soon as possible to increase the value of the Teams migration.
Is it planned to be able to import an exported Permissions Matrix Report?16 votes
- exclude system accounts
Good morning! I wonder if there is a way to have the Audit Reports have a checkbox to say "don't show system accounts" or "WE" can build them "ignore the search crawler account and the system account" as a checkbox so my results do'nt need to be filtered. I have a user who had permissions changed and I am looking for it. I want to find out which user / group moved it / changed it and I know it's not the search account or ME / system account. Just offering a sugestion! :)16 votes
Would be nice to be able to backup permission and use the backup to bring them back the way they were.16 votes
Be able to use a different library to run the audit report instead of using the one created by Sharegate
-be able to choose a different location if needed
-be able to delete them if needed16 votes
Be able to bulk edit permissions juste like the bulk edit metadata (using Excel spreadsheet)16 votes
I see that I can map users during a migration process to change, but is there any way I can update just the user? Like, replace my name all over their site collection with a different user in an easy way with this tool?16 votes
-Be able to know what permissions the users from a specific AD group have access to.
-complete list of AD groups used in SharePoint
-List all the users in AD groups used in SharePoint16 votes
- Content types
- Metadata: ex. set mapped value or default to fill in empty fields
- Page layouts
- Don't see your idea?
