SharePoint Inventory report details
Ideally I would really like to be able to drill into the environment via the Inventory tool. Sort site collections by size, number of sites, workflows, etc. Find the lists/libraries that have the most items or largest space usage.
For the Errors and Warnings section of the Inventory tool, I'm not sure what value it provides to say X number of sites have custom master pages or unsupported templates without telling me what site they are.
It looks like nice very high level start but it's missing many of the features the File Share Inventory has.
We’ve just release Sharegate 5.15 where you will find Inventory details for SharePoint and O365 like:
- List of Site collections and Sites
- List of Unused site
- List of SharePoint 2010/2013/Nintex Workflows (reusable, list or site Workflows)
- Warnings and errors for migration planification
If you have any other questions, just let me know and I’ll be happy to help. And have a fantastic Monday!
I would like to be able to click on a summary like unused sites and see a list of all the unused sites
In the inventory section it shows how many workflows. It would be helpful if where that workflow is could be shown. Since it is not an 'error' it does not sow in the export of errors.
Can the SharePoint inventory includes all sites, subsites, lists, and libraries, so I can export a report of all site contents?
would be nice to be able to jump from the inventory size directly to more detailed lists.
8 Workflows is written, would be nice to click an it and get the information of the 8 workflows.
7 unused sites. Klick an get the list of this 7 sites. So you have to search manuel again.
let the inventory to be more interactive : for example by clicking the number of workflows found, show a detailed list of them and it's type (list wf, reusable wf, ecc...), in which site are, ecc...
The best way would be that the explorer can give those details and inventory simply links to explorer when you reach the leaf level on the inventory details view (inventory-->workflows-->workflows detailed list-->site workflows-->explorer view of workflows related to the selected site).

Drill down in inventory report. Report seems bit pointless.. unable to save results or drill down into details..
Would like to see webparts used in the inventory output. Example: webpart XYZ is used in this site collection, in these sites, and how many times.
In SharePoint Inventory, having the option to click into seeing the list of sites, unused sites, checked out files, and workflows is important. Also, adding "unused apps" for each site would be nice. Otherwise, the Inventory is a good addition to Sharegate!
When running inventory, you should be able to drill into the results.
Also, I have a total of 399 flagged errors and 95 warnings. When I run ;Export All Errors and Warnings, I get 200 results.
In the inventory screen, provide the option for details on the four main panes -- what are my unused sites? where are my workflows? etc.
- usage drill down
- unsupported templates drill down
- checked out files drill down
The Inventory for SharePoint and Office 365 does not go deep enough. It tells me there is one site collection and that is all. I need to know the sites, libraries, documents in each library, lists, all the information from a site so that I can run a report and give it to the user before their migration if requested. As it is, I will have to figure out another way to get this information or figure out a powershell script to do that. All that may be an easy fix but since I am fairly new to powershell scripting (I have used DOS scripting in the past) it will take me a little bit to get the data that I need. This ShareGate tool should be able to give me all the analytical data from SharePoint 2003, 2007, 2010, 2013 and so on. Right now it is only showing 2013 and I have 2010 on prem sites that need to be inventoried then migrated to the cloud. Thanks.
Hi, I love the new Inventory screen.
Is there a way for me to click down into the information provided on this screen.
Example is the being notified that there are 3 checked out files that will lost during migration. I would really save time to be able to click and see the three files in questions.
Not able to drill down to get details like list of checked out files. Also not able to export the informaiton.
the inventory - here it should be possible to show the usnused sites that is reported
Drill down option to each would be very useful.
Like checked out files, custom master pages, unsupported templates, etc.
I do not see any basic report that would show you this information individually.
I would like to be able to click on the different "tiles" in the Inventory report and see the details in there. Thinks like Sites, Workflows, Which sites have custom master pages, what site and list or library in that site have files checked out. This is actually a very nice report so far. How about an inventory report for a farm and not just a Web App that would be really good to.
Full details on the items with warnings: list/item name, location, site, link to the list/item, recommended solution
Details - the Warning is 'Number of sites with unsupported templates - I would like to know the site URL and the template name.
Warning - Number of lists with unsupported templates - I would like to know the URL of the list and the template name. :)
Details - the Error is : Number of sites with custom Master Page 3 sites
I would like to know the URL of each site and the master page name.
