With today’s release, we added the ability to download only some files in a document library.
This can be done either directly from the explorer or with the results of a report on documents (which will allow you to filter for desired documents).
Hope you enjoy that new feature.
Don’t hesitate to give us feedback, we always appreciate it!

Great feature! We already used it this week to export a subset out of large libraries.
Indeed it would also be great to further improve it by giving an option to select SharePoint views.
As mentioned by Antoine, the option to download content at item level can be done through the Explorer or from the result screen of a report. Unfortunately, views are not supported in both the Explorer and the Reports.
You could always use a report to “recreate” the view.
In the meantime, I will create a new request on your behalf to support views in such a case.
Also, the option to download content at item level has been deployed yesterday in version 8.1.
I have created a view for documents to be exported. I have checked explorer in Sharegate to export this view but there is no control from where I can select the view for export.
Can you please provide the steps to export specific view of a library.
I have Sharegate version 8.0.0.
I had to do a crazy work-around, create a office 365 team site, migrate SP->SP content based on filtered view to that empty doc lib and then download all that o365 doclib content to a file share... a 2-step workaround that I'm not a big fan of.
This is almost a must-have now when our users start moving from tree-structure to filtered views. Please update your product to be the best data management tool.

With the new Share-Gate I am unable to download specific folders of a Document Library. It seems my only option is to download the entire Document Library all at once.
Not good on a 500 GB document library that I am trying to take offline in chunks!
I work at a law firm, and we've just begun using SharePoint and Sharegate. I have a 75 GB library; I need to download just certain portions of it, not the entire 75gigs. Please, please add the functionality to "drill down" into libraries for download purposes. Thank you.
Allow users to run the “Export from SharePoint” tool based on the Last Modified date/time, only exporting documents/items that fall within the specified date range.

The ability to select files and items to export from SP lists and librairies in the GUI based on previous errors for example.
When using the Export from SharePoint tool, would be nice to be able to select a specific time range instead of exporting the full list or library. A filter like the one we can use in Copy SharePoint content's property template
Export from SharePoint - Select items instead of whole lists/libraries

I am interested to possibly extend this copy option to allow incremental files copy from SharePoint online to On Premise.
