Broken link scan and correcting feature
A feature through which we can correct the links...
-located inside pages
-located inside documents
-located in any type of migrated item
-links pointing to unpublished documents.
It’s been a while since this suggestion has been updated so I just want to let you know that after re-evaluation, we still not planning on adding such a feature in the near future.
We will continue to read your comments so don’t hesitate to send in more.
Thanks again for sharing your feedback.
Maybe this request should be re-evaluated! you have customers that need this functionality and would like to stay loyal to the ShareGate brand. To say "we still not planning on adding such a feature in the near future." tell me that the company can care less about its customers that support your salary so you can put food on the table! It may be prudent to remember that ShareGate is NOT the only player in this space! Good Luck!
Echo the other comments here....why would you decline this? Other tools have it. I'm a bit disappointed.
Genuinely confused how this was declined. This causes us ongoing pain as we dig through legacy data and onboard new affiliate & subsidiary organizations. This is a very disappointing decision.
Would be nice to have some sort of link checker.

Please add a report or feature to ShareGate to check for broken links.

Is a feature on the horizon to check for broken links in SharePoint. Like a link to a document/item is broken.

It is a shame that we now have to purchase another product (Cognillo) to find and correct broken links as it would be a great add-on for SharePoint
Do you have any intention of providing some sort of Broken Link checker? We are trialling Cognillo but it would be greate if ShareGate could provide with

When migrating sites, it would be good to have a report that shows any broken links OR alterantively, run a report that shows all links TO this site. For example, if on SITE A there is a linke to a document SITE B and when I move SITE B to SITE X, the link from SITE A would break. If I could see all links on my site collection to SITE B, I can then go and update those pages...
It would be great if we could scan our site collections for broken links. Is there a way to do this?
It would be nice if there were a function to check broken links on SharePoint pages and sites.
DO you have plans to add a broken link module? Very importatnt pre-migration discovery & clean-up opportunity
It would be great to have a Insight that looked for broken links on left navigation, and in page.

We use one other tool to check for broken links in documents stored on SharePoint called ReplaceMagic (www.replacemagic.com). This tool can natively connect to SharePoint (on premise but also online) and supports Word, Excel, Powerpoint, PDF and many more formats. Of course, you can also fix broken links.
We use the content type 'Link to Document' to link to a URL of a document or page in our SharePoint environment. Checking to see if these links are still valid would be great. We have found that sometime the document gets renamed or moved or even deleted. A way to have a report of what URLs are invalid would be great in this case.
Please add a report or feature to Sharegate to check for broken links

Have the ability to run a report to find all the broken links in a site.
just an idea - it would be very helpful to include a report that scans Word docs and similar for broken hyperlinks.. even better if it can provide a way of fixing the broken links.
Is there a way to search for and find broken links in a SharePoint site collection using ShareGate? It used to be something you could do with SharePoint Designer, but as you know it's being depreciated by Microsoft. Any ideas?
