Pre-Check in PowerShell
I would like to be able to perform a PowerShell Pre-Migration as it would allow me to prepare ahead of time for large scale migrations.
Greetings from Sharegate!
Today we released Sharegate 8.0! You can now perform Pre-Checks on content copy commands in PowerShell! Here is the full documentation : https://support.share-gate.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003010754-Run-a-Pre-Check-in-PowerShell
Don’t forget to leave us your feedback!
Any update on when this will be available for Copy-Content
We check every week if powershell pre-check has been released for Import-documents.
When planning migration for thousands of users and multiple TB of data we are in desperate need for automation.
Hi, is it planned to implement Pre-Check Report also for Import-Document comandlet?

We need a cmdlet similar to Find-CopySessions that will export the reports for Pre-check jobs. The only way to get those reports are through the GUI, which is a pain for large jobs.
Pre-Check in PowerShell is currently only available on SharePoint objects (structure). We will continue work on SharePoint content and file shares.
For Google Drive and Box, at this time the best option is to continue using the GUI.
How do i use it with migration of Gdrive?
the $srcSite is only a link to SharePoint and not to gdrive.
is it possible, if so how?
Hi, I need this option but for migration between google and sharepoint.
So the $srcSite should be gdrive.
how do i do this?
Write continuously - Yes it will! And should be the case for filesystem imports too. Did you check in the previous sessions list?
Just to be clear, will this work in such a way that it writes to the log continuously? Imagine a situation, where you're pre-checking a large volume. It wouldn't be very useful, if, in the event of a breakdown, all of the work that had already been done, was lost. This is presently an issue with the import function, where you can't get to the logs, if the machine doing the import breaks down for some reason, before it is done.
Hello, can I ask for which date is the september release planned? We are waiting for this for about 6months so I cant wait for release.
