Migration Planner & Scheduler
Would like to:
- Ability to schedule migration
- Ability to schedule incremental migrations daily
- Schedule migration today to run on Friday
- Schedule a migration through the UI
- Create plan
With the latest release of ShareGate Desktop, it is now possible to schedule the migration through the UI.
This should allow you to easily migrate at off-hours or at any time that is convenient for you. This also allows you, if need be, to schedule a recurring migration.
The time, date and recurrence of a schedule migration can be modified through the Scheduled Tasks UI.
We know this only covers the schedule part of this suggestion. If you want to vote on the planner part, please do so on this new suggestion we opened: https://feedback.sharegate.com/forums/912880/suggestions/38066314

We're still on track to release the scheduling of migrations before the end of the month.
This should indeed allow you to bypass Windows task scheduler and powershell and do everything from the UI.
For now, the only limitation is that Sharegate Desktop will need to stay open for the migration to actually start.

I can't find any update as to what to expect in the November release, anyone have anything to share? Would love to know if the scheduled migrations will be 100% end of Nov as I have some requirements for this where bypassing Windows task scheduler and PowerShell would be great.
LP Lavoie, any updates on this request? It has been over a year since your last update.
I don't see an option to schedule a migration. We often run our migrations on a weekend, beginning on Friday evening (outside regular business hours). It would be nice if I could schedule my migration during my work day to kick off in the evening, rather than having to log in on my Friday evening to kick off the migration manually.
Please consider a feature that allows content copy from site to site using a reoccurrance task schedule. We are building app that needs content refresh on daily base. We are going to use powershell for this task but it would be much easier to schedule to use sharegate. ;-)
@LP Lavoie, this would work perfectly in conjunction with my suggestion for a lightweight server-side migration agent linked above (assuming it's approved). ;)
It would be nice if Share-Gate had a scheduler.
We have a few exception processes where files with dodgy characters get dumped into a network share before being manually corrected. It would be nice to schedule migration where ShareGate would pick them up, clean them up and move them into their SharePoint home.
The ability to group migration tasks together in a plan and set that plan to run a scheduled Date and Time. Also chain plans together for example from Dev to Test and Test to Live stage. The ability to monitor these plans with progress indicators and also approval of the stages. For example, after a test phase the plan is approved and migration can take place to the live stage. The Planner and Scheduler also knows the time it took to migrate objects and content from the earlier stages so a good planning can be achieved. It's extremely usefull for me in a massive migration where directors expect a plan and progress report from me.
When migrating a number of SharePoint sites from one tenant to another we are missing a couple of functionalities:
1. A possibility to schedule migration tasks so we can run them unattended.
2. A progress bar showing remaining migration time.
