Maintain Content Type ID When Migrating Content Types
I have noticed that when you migrate a content type the content type ID is not preserved.

Hi, this is an old thread but I wondered if anyone had received an answer? Is the content type ID preserved on site collection copy?

This would be a great feature for migrations especially ones that involve site templates that reference those content types directly.

My hunch is ShareGate doesn't preserve the content type id's, went to Google to confirm, and here I am. Am I right in my assumption and will this be updated in future release?

CSOM allows to create SITE Content Types with a specific ID.

We have Content search web parts and custom Display templates that filter on content type IDs. If we now use ShareGate we would have to adjust the whole solution. It would be realy great if in the future the ID can be preserved
