  1. Export Report to PDF, Email, SP library, etc.

    Export Report results to...
    - a SharePoint list or library instead of to Excel so all users can see it and set up alerts on it
    - in a CSV format
    - a PDF file
    - send by email, even automatically send some of the reports to the site owners for example
    - a fileshare, or drive of your choice

    Also able to do so with Custom Reports.

    Hello Everyone,

    The time has come. We are seriously considering adding the ability to automatically export task results in a SharePoint library. 🙌

    This has been part of the biggest feature request on our Feedback Forum for a long time now. We are considering the export to SharePoint Library approach because we see the all the potential it would give our users to trigger workflows or Flows when a report is exported, or even better, leverage the data exported to build dashboards and other things with PowerBi, etc.

    That being said, we still have a few questions that need to be answered before going further.   2. Broken link scan and correcting feature

    A feature through which we can correct the links...
    -located inside pages
    -located inside documents
    -located in any type of migrated item
    -external links
    -links pointing to unpublished documents.

    This one was tough for me to update the status. It’s important for us to deliver the best experience possible to our customers and the feedback we receive is a big part of that.

    The request to scan inside of content for links and adjusting them or finding broken links is something we’ve looked at quite a few times given the number of requests for it.

    Though we may evaluate some of these suggestions separately in the future, we do not plan on working on this in the near term.
    An update will be posted if something changes, one closer to being evaluated would be broken links on SharePoint Pages.

    We’re always grateful for any additional insight that would help us build a better tool. Thanks for leaving us feedback.

  4. Workflow Reporting

    - Find all workflows that are running or in-progress
    - See the name of the workflows
    - Run report on workflows, out of the box, SP designer, Nintext, 3rd party
    - Be able to create a report that will list the status of the workflows
    - Report on workflows published by a specific user
    - Report on how many workflow tasks are assigned to a particular user

    We just rolled out a new version of ShareGate Desktop, containing a first version of reporting of Workflows.

    You can now easily find your Site and List workflows in your environments. You can enable/disable them and also modify their launch trigger.

    This is a first step in the world of workflow reporting and we may continue building this feature in the future.

  5. Custom rules or columns, and more built-in columns in Inventory and migration/pre-check reports

    [Admin: Merged all suggestions pertaining to inventory- or migration-related reports. This will allow better understanding of the priority of this topic]

    Pre-Check and Migration reports
    -Add more columns (sizes, end times, etc.)
    -Also enhancement to the Session summary screen to include URLs, total size, etc.

    Inventory
    Would be very good if we as users can customize the rules and columns:
    -Add custom columns like Site owners
    -Be able to change the settings of the inventory (ex: change the unused sites time to x months)
    -Have more available details at each level (Number of items, Last modified date, size, etc.)

  6. Add InfoPath Filters in Reporting

    By adding InfoPath to the filters, one could find all the lists that uses them and it could be helpful in some migration scenarios.

  8. Report and actions On Alerts

    Reporting:
    -list user alerts filtered by site or by user, showing which object/list is targeted
    -show me where "user X" has alerts
    -show me which users have alerts within "site A"

    Actions:
    - Remove alerts for orphaned users

  9. Use the "And" or "Or" Logic on Filters in Reports

    As it stand, the Reporting feature only supports the "And" logic when adding filters to a report. This is a request to have the option to use the "Or" logic when having multiple filters.

    We know it’s been two years since the last update to this suggestion, so it feels like we need to update it.

    We still would like to do it, but the effort investment is quite large and we feel like it is better put in working toward a tool that is better suited to support the modern workplace than to improve our current reporting tooling which works quite well.

    We do keep this initiative close as we still want to do it eventually, not just in a near future.

  11. Ability to Automate the Export of Scheduled Reports

    Some users would find extremely practical to be able to have Sharegate automatically export the scheduled report to a predetermined location on drive. This would help bring them to meetings, and help team manage their SP environments.

  12. Add Email Field in All Reports

    It would be nice if reports could pull emails instead of just names. I know some reports can, but not all.

    - Audit Report
    - Permission Matrix Report
    - Built-In reports

    Email address linked to the user. ID also for pre-build reports

    Good Morning!

    Thanks for using Sharegate!

    We haven’t added email fields inside all our reports yet, but that’s a relevant idea! In fact, we’ve planned to add it to all our pre-build reports, audit report and we need to think the design for adding it inside the Permission Matrix Report (nice challenge!!).

    I don’t have an ETA from the team, but I’ll definitely update the status when we’re going to start the implementation.

  13. Email Enabled Librairies Report

    I would like to find all email-enabled libraries and lists in my on premise Sharepoint. How can I do that? I tried creating a new report but did not find the field available to add.

    We understand this need, but seeing as it is fairly trivial to do in SharePoint Management Shell, for the time being we’re concentrating our efforts on more complex scenarios that have no easy alternative.

  14. Report on Content Type

    - Create a report what will list all list/site content types that have workflows attached to them.
    - Find content Type with workflows
    - Is there a report for Content Types in Use and which list they might be in?

  15. Empty Folder Report

    Would like to have a report that would list folders and/or document libraries that have been created but are empty. Right now I'm looking at easily finding empty folder s.

  18. Compare Permissions

    It would be extremely helpful to have a compare permissioins. Often I have time where one user can do something but another user that should be able to can't. If I could compare the permissions between the two users I could get everyone up and running quicker.

    Also loving the new layout so far!

  19. Web Part Report

    It would be very useful to undergo a report for Webparts within a site collection.

    Checking which webparts are open and in use within a site collection if important for migrating accross platforms. This type of report would be VERY useful for SharePoint teams as it would highlight sites which need attention from the developers (if a webpart is custom for example) to ensure they dont break.

    Please can this be added?

    Yes indeed! We have just completed some exploration on this topic. Adding Teams inside the Explorer and in Reports would be relatively easy. The problem is that the O365 endpoints to manipulate them are still very limited (e.g. : Nothing to deal with Messages) so you would basically only be able to.. list them and modify basic settings / members.

    Still, we’re making plans for that right now. I’ll be bold and say you can expect the first bits to appear “soon” :-)
