PERMISSION MATRIX REPORT: Request “Expand/Collapse All” buttons for Subsites
PERMISSION MATRIX REPORT: Request “Expand/Collapse All” buttons for Subsites (see included image)
• Current buttons on the toolbar to “Expand All Groups” and “Collapse All Groups” (green box) only expand/collapse the “User/Group” window pane. (green arrow)
• There are no buttons that expand/collapse the subsites in the left-side window pane. (red arrow)
• RISK: To run a full export of a site, every single subsite in the hierarchy must be manually clicked to expand one-at-a-time. Only then will the exported reports results be complete for all subsites. If there is a long list of subsites and one is mistakenly not…

Make automatic resolvement of users an option
Within ShareGate, if you do not provide an explicit mapping for an user, ShareGate will try to resolve the user automatically by using a decision tree as described here:
https://migration-tool.sharegate.com/hc/en-us/articles/360032616471
When it does not find an automatic map, it will copy the metadata over (i.e. John Smit created the file.It is however nog possible to disable this automatic mapping. Whenever users leave the company and no longer exist within AD, you want to keep this metadata and as such, you should have the option to disable this search for the account and have the metadata copied directly.
The automatic…

Private Channels Site Permissions
It would be great if when I was given access to the SharePoint sites I was also given access to all of the sites that are private channels to reduce the use of PowerShell or SharePoint Admin Center just to have access.

Permission matrix report - import list of users from CSV
We need to find all items that 150 users have Owner or full control access to in our environment for a security and compliance initiative. To run a report like this you have to manually add one at a time each user, it will probably take me 2 hours to add each user 1 by 1 in the people picker for the report. We need to have an option to import a list of users from CSV. Please see image for better description of what we are asking.

Report content for which a specified user/group has no access
I wanted to run a ShareGate report to find site/library locations in SharePoint Online that our CEO does not have access to, so I can quickly locate them and grant the CEO access. However ShareGate does not support this reporting requirement. I think it's important for SharePoint admins to be given the option to see all permissions in a report, including locations that specified users/groups are restricted from accessing. This would also enable us to show various management via the report that specific users/groups have been successfully excluded from their restricted content.

Groups listing of explicit permissions for whole Permission Matrix Report
In the Permissions Matrix report, when all expanded to show group members, it would be much better to have a separate section of the report that only shows the various groups' members once, rather than repeating them on everything. Ideally the report would then just list the group names once, and then explicit permissions listed individually. Does that make sense?
Same with the Excel export. Possibly export the report with 2 tabs, one is the matrix the other is the list of members of all groups.

Use of graph Api (app registration) for access on Spo and MS Teams
Use of graph Api (app registration) for access on Spo and MS Teams
Giving admin roles for migration is not appropriate however granting access via graph Api is possible, when will sharegate starts working such requirements.1 vote -
Migrate permissions from one group to another
We need the ability to migrate current permissions from one permission group into a new permission group. We are currently moving our collab sites to SPO. New permission groups are created with the site and we want to move the members of the groups in collab into the new group created in SPO. As it stands today, we need to retype the users in or move an old permission group into SPO.

During "Copy User Permission" on subsite, just add user to SP Group with access to subsite
When using "Copy User Permission" with the "Copy Group membership" on a subsite, the tool will add the target user to all SP Groups in the site collection, not just those that the target subsite has access to. This can lead to a user having access on sites not scoped for the "Copy User Permissions" operation

Be able to expand by levels in the PMR
Right now you can only expand all groups or manually select them, it would be nice to be able to expand all the first level permissions and so on

Convert SP group members into M365 group members
Not sure if this is possible, but make it easy to convert who is in a SharePoint Group and add them to a team membership group.

Permissions Matrix Needs to Include Group Membership
The permissions matrix report needs to be include who is in each SharePoint group. Or that could be a separate report for group membership.

Make an option to auto-expand the groups in PMR an option, not the default behavior.
You might still need to consider to offer as a choice for users to choose to expand or not the groups in the PMR when auto-exporting it in a library, as I got an issue opening the report with groups expanded when the report is huge (complex site collection with too many unique permissions)

Copy user permissions in Bulk
Our company is doing Active Directory migrations now. All the users will get new accounts. This is for thousands of employees. Currently we are using ShareGate to copy user permissions one by one.
Is there a way we could do it in bulk? We have the lists in Excel.

Hub Site Reporting
It be really great to run reports such as Permissions and everything else against a Hubsite and all associated sites. There are many groups people create that I don't care to know permissions for but I need to do reports for anything associated with our hubsite.

Quick Select multiple users for PMR
You can select specific users to run the PMR on, but you have to search each user one by one. If you want to scope down the PMR to a specific department of 40 users, you have to manually add those users by hand and it takes a long time.

Add option to run multiple reports with a CSV file
Add an option to run multiple reports based on parameter like URL, with a CSV file. Users would like the ability to report (Permissions Matrix Report in example) on multiple sites or drives, but it can be difficult to specify which ones and some users might want to feed a CSV file with URLs to do so
