Keep date when you download files from a Document Share to a classic server
Keep date when you download files from a Document Share to a classic server. I have the actual date, not the old.
The goal is to archive a site that is no longer needed, so we "take it down" to a physical server to free up the costly impact of the SharePoint Cloud. The dates would ensure good searchability by users once the data is archived.

View workflow history list in the explorer
I can't open the workflow history list through the explorer. Example: https://dnwg.sharepoint.com/sites/dms/Lists/Workflow%20History/
Would be usefull to cleanup some items.

Expandable columns
Sercurity Targets, search results for the Object column, there is not a column to slide to allow me to see the name of our subsite. I see the https://domain.sharepoint.com/sites/sitecollection/subsite/sub.... it is cut off and i cna't expand the column to verify that it's the one I want. The title is different than the site name.

Add ability to update 'Search and Offline Availability' at site level in ShareGate Explorer view
It would be great to have the ability to remove a site from SharePoint search. The SPWeb boolean property is NoCrawl.
Making this available in Explorer will take several steps off of our plate when we deactivate old / unused sites in preparation for site removal.

Search
When searching for OneDrive the user is found but after selecting from the search bar it does not select the user. Additional searches don't return the user in the search bar. I have always had to manually scroll the list to find the user. It would be helpful if the search worked.

filter sites by hubsite association
Need ability to sort, filter, search Hubs and associated sites - any/all operations relating to a Hub and their associated sites.
For instance, in "Explorer" tab a top-right filter should be "Hub Site", and when selected, it only shows Hub sites in the list, upon clicking, a select hub site, you can then navigate the various sites in the hub - assuming you have access.
Similar for reporting, you should be able to specify a hub and navigate through it.

Hiding the Delete Permanently button when all site collections are checked
We were thinking about giving access to Sharegate to our Service Desk personnel so they could manage our OneDrive requests when we noticed the delete permanently button.
The crazy thing is that even when we click on the checkbox to select all 4, 758 site collections in our tenant, (46tb worth of data), that delete permanently link is still active.
Wow, that's something to give an Admin grey hairs. There's no way we are giving access to the Service Desk type personnel to Sharegate with that ability. Yes with it hidden they could still delete sites individually, but they couldn't…

Provide a 'disconnect' for multiple items within the Explorers' bulk action panel
Once I have imported multiple connections into the Explorer I would like to be able to disconnect a certain count of them.
Instead removing all connections and re-adding the ones I want to proceed further again is the only option so far.
Neither the context menu for a single connection nor the action panel for bulk operation or any cmdlet offers this.4 votes -
Add option to generate the metadata as CSV using Download
Sometimes there could be issues with the number of items and/or the column width in Excel when exporting the metadata along your content with the Download option in Explorer. Having an option to export content as a CSV could help work around these limitations for some users.

Add Team Site filters from the Explorer
You have done a good job splitting out O365 Groups, OneDrive, and Web Apps in the gui, but it would be great if you could also separate out "TEAMS" type sites in the filters.
It is extremely tedious to have to deselect all of the possible Team Site - site collections when trying to run reports for just Sharepoint sites.

Visual site map of all site collections
would be really good if your product created a site map of all site collections and sub sites across the farm in a visual diagram that could be saved as an image or pdf
46 votesHi everyone,
I’m curious to hear more from you about this one.
-What kind of information would you like to see in such a site map?
-What format you’d like it to be?
-What would you do with it? Who would you show it to?Thanks for your help!

Multi-user selection in the search section for features "add/remove/copy permissions"
Remove all users in a site collection without going to each sub-site and removing them from security groups.
I have over 700 users that need to be removed in multiple sub-sites and various security groups. It would take me forever to remove them if I have to add their names individually.
Being able to select many users at a time in the search section for features like “remove permissions”. For now you have to search for one user, add it, search for another one, add it, etc.

We might get to this eventually.
