Add a longform link to the emails sent by ShareGate
Some companies' email system converts messages to plain text so if there is a "button" that is included in the SG message, it often is not materializing.
It would be great to add an alternative method to access the links sent.

I want the start time and end time of migration from sharegate tool in automatic export report so that we can automate it as there is no public api to connect to sharegate and to get the deatils of start time and end time of migration instaed of getting it from the report we have to switch to tool everytime.

About security group mapping
Please change the specification to unique ID search instead of display name search when mapping security groups in site migration.
If there are multiple security groups with the same display name, an unexpected security group may be assigned.1 vote -
Transfer the task to new machine
Unable to Transfer the task to a new machine. This creates an issue with Incremental Copy. it would be great to have this feature enabled as earlier as possible. The step mentioned in below link doesn't work.

Configure links in task names (PowerShell)
Out-of-the-box tasks have embeded links that can be clicked to navigate to the source and destination libraries.
If we create a task in PowerShell and assign it a custom name, the ability to configure clickable links does not seem to work/exist.
It would be interesting if the -TaskName parameter of the Copy Content command could be used to create clickable links just like the ootb functionality does.

Ability to migrate emails from one tenant to another one.
This is why I will not choose ShareGate instead of Avepoint Fly.
With this feature included, you could see a lot of new clients for sure.1 vote -
Teams Reporting: get a report of all Teams channels
Get a report of every channel (name and ID) in your tenant. We group projects under "Master" Client Teams, so it's not easy to find a project if you don't already know the Team it's under. ShareGate already has a Teams report with a channel count; I need to go one level deeper and get a report of every channel, regardless of Team.
This is possible, but a real pain, using the Graph, but having it in ShareGate would make my job a lot easier.
Thanks for considering!1 vote -
User mapping by UPN
When migrating from On-Prem to SharePoint ShareGate does not use the users UPN instead either using property extraction or if that fails NTFS metadata. The issue is allot of the time when this fails it pick up the SAM account name creating an orphaned user in SharePoint.
Could Sharegate not also check the local AD for a matching UPN for the user as if using Azure AD sync this should (in theory) match.

Include file size in export metadata for file shares
We are looking to import large amounts of data from file shares to SharePoint.
Before we start this data migration, we need to know the sizes of the files.
I have done a trial run and used the 'Export Metadata' button to export the file share meta to a spread sheet. That is fine, but the data does not include the file size of the files stored on the file share. Can file size be included in the data provided by the 'Export Metadata' feature?1 vote -

T2T migration SharePoint to onedrive shortcut
T2T migration SharePoint to onedrive shortcut
Our new users enjoy the feature, adding a shortcut to SharePoint library in OneDrive. And some of them built complex documents links .having a way to inventory those shortcut might help to prepare the migration (inventory users, library, target communication).

Export licenses activations
Since the license activation page was revamped and moved to Sharegate.com we are unable to export the data to spreadsheet, nor copy the data from the page into Excel in a workable format - the pasting goes across multiple lines and runs the data together without spaces in between, rendering the data useless without manually going in to fix it.
Please either add an export to spreadsheet option, or fix it so we can copy from the page and paste into excel formatted correctly across multiple columns:

Ability to remap changed list lookups
We have transitioned from an onpremise Sharepoint to SP Online, this type of task is very necessary in many migration instances not just our own. Copy and rename, using a formula, that is all I need. I can tailor a script but lookups do not work properly unless done in a very specific order. Try doing that will 200 sites and several thousand lists. I cannot stress the level of necessity it is to dynamically remap changed list lookups. PLEASE ADD THIS TO THE NEXT VERSION OF SHAREGATE. But my biggest issue is that the support we get now is…

Add ability to migrate Nintex on-prem workflows to Nintex Workflow Cloud
Nintex has informed me that they no longer recommend migrating Nintex on-prem workflows to SharePoint online workflows as the workflow engine is being deprecated by Microsoft. They only recommend migrating directly to Nintex Workflow Cloud so it would be very helpful is ShareGate supported this.

Ability to export report results on error or cancelling
It would be nice to be able to export results for reports that crash before completion or need to be cancelled. For example, if the report is extremely long running and you want to cancel it, all results retrieved up to that point of cancelling are lost. The results are there on the screen, prior to cancelling, but there is no way to export them. After cancelling, no partial results are available.

Check File size in a incremental sync
We had some errors in a few migrations and the files were created but with 0 kb file size. ShareGate only checks the modified data and not the file size. Because of that there is no possibility to fix this errors with incremental sync.
Please include a file size check into the incremental sync to resolve issues.

Have the possibility to create projects in SG
Since we have multiple migrations in parallel, it would be great to have the chance to create projects in SG. This will avoid to have several session IDs mixed from different migrations all together. Once one project finishes, we can easy export all reports and delete the project and easy clean-up the temporary files on C:. Also, have the chance to recover or restore an old project in case we want to do a delta (copy_teams) or revocer some info/data from that project.
In this way we could have one sub-folder per project undermeath cache and applogs, scheduling folders.1 vote
