Email Notifications about Tasks and Migration Status
Option to receive automatic email notifications
- When a task is done
- Migration status- Completion (with details)
- Errors / Warnings / Skipped items

Hi everyone,
Since ShareGate Desktop now allow us to automatically export migration reports (and other reports) when a task is done to a SharePoint library, you may easily setup a Microsoft Flow or workflow to notify you when a task is over. If you need some inspiration, I wrote a blog post on how users can leverage Microsoft Flow to share reports by email: https://sharegate.com/blog/use-microsoft-flow-automatically-send-sharegate-desktop-reports
It’s not a native way to get notified, but a nice workaround you could use until we add official email notifications (if we do at some point).

Ability to Run a Scheduled Task Again
I have an audit report that I run weekly for a site collection and it times out from time to time. Is there a way to "retry now" to run the report in the All Tasks, Tasks window. There is Refresh, Add, export, etc. is there one that can be set, or when you open it "failed, want to retry now?" Thank you.

Add a Search option for Migration Reports and All tasks
Be able to search:
- migration reports by destination sites for example.
- migration reports by session ID
- actions by type
- in list of previous migrations

Add option to run scheduled tasks now
Had a report scheduled to run in 10 minutes but wanted to kick it off now. Had to edit the report to have it run a minute after my computer clock was showing. Should have an option to "run now" or a check box instead of trying to manipulate the timer. Thanks!

Button for "Delete all" in Tasks view
I would like to delete all my tasks at once, as I have multiple pages worth of tasks, and it would take a long time to go through them all, even with 500 items per page.

Show size of data migrated in Migration Report
I want to be able to see how much of the content was migrated at a certain point during the migration, and at the end in the migration report. Currently, the MR does not display any information about size of items migrated.

Run Sharegate as a Service
The ability to run ShareGate Desktop to run as a service for Automation of reports?
This would be really handy, as machines need to be rebooted regularly for updates, and having to log in to relaunch the app is counter productive.

Add a default library option to the automatic export of reports
Automatic exporting reports is a good feature. But is there any way to configure the destination path fixed, instead of configuring the reports path every time ?

report on the completed tasks
For example, I want to export to Excel or something all the tasks I have completed in the Sharegate tool. Not export the actions themselves. I'm looking for a report of what I have done.

Better task names
I'm doing some migrations and would really like to see exactly from which library/site/list that i'm migrating to and from.
i don't find "Copy 1 item from Network-
Voice.... to Network..." very useful. the name of the item would be much better.4 votes -
Show list of Success on Pre-Check report
I'd like to have the ability to run a Pre-Check migration report that will show not only the Warning and Errors, but the successes as well, just like an actual Migration report would.

Having the ability to archive completed tasks rather than going through and exporting then deleting the tasks (which is time consuming)

Share tasks and jobs with other users
As a tech with multiple techs doing similar jobs, we want to be able to share our Sharegate tasks and jobs so that if I am working on a job, someone else might need to check its status, or even possibly start an incremental job from a team or adjust the schedule of reoccurring.
I understand that currently everything is based on a desktop app, but if there could be a central database, or location for the data on the same machine, this would really help!

Save settings and mappings for future use
Could you please enable saving settings and mappings as profiles (or saved options, whatever you’d like to call it)?
It would make a huge difference for migrations that require dozens of tasks (multiple times).2 votes
