MS Teams Reporting

We’ve added a built-in report, but you can also build your own if needed.

License manager tool
Access to a license manager for multi-license holding organisations that would:
-show the last time Sharegate licenses were used for each user

Since the Sharegate was updated to 5.21, a new license manager was added to the tool. This new license manager allows users to Rename their activations as well as deactivate any unused seats. Migration of empty/non-valid values and choice fields
It would be nice if Sharegate could migrate lists that have either empty values for required fields and choice values that are no longer in the list settings for the choice field . This feature would inventory all choice and required fields, enable the Allow adding to choice values, remove required field, migrate the data, and then disable the allow adding to choice values and enable the required fields if applicable. This would save time for the admin who has to write/run scripts to take care of this.

Smart search or autocomplete search box in Explorer
It would be great to have a smart search or autocomplete search box for when you are looking to quickly connect to a site collection using part of its name.

Hello from Sharegate! We released Sharegate 7.1 last week and we are happy to let you know that you can now perform a Copy Structure to Office 365 and force the new experience on lists.
Additionally, here is the list of supported Web Parts for the New Experience https://support.share-gate.com/hc/en-us/articles/115004220574
And as a complement, you can now create a new report on Lists and Libraries (Office 365 of course) with “List Experience” filter and column. From there, you can edit the “List Experience” in the properties displayed in the Quick Actions panel (in the report or directly in the explorer). The “List Experience” can be set to “Tenant default”, “New experience” or “Classic experience”.

Find documents that have never been check-in.
Be able to mass check in.17 votesSharegate 5.20 can now help you to deal documents with no checked-in version. You can run the Checked Out Documents report to find them, or create a new report using the Never Checked-in filter. Plus with the edit option, you can either check them in or delete them.

Support Office 365 Labels During Migrations
In a migration from on-premises to Office 365, we need to convert a records management functionality that handles document retention to date in Office 365 labels.
14 votesWith today’s release of ShareGate Desktop, Retention labels will be kept during the migration, ONLY for migrations on the same tenant. This should allow you to move elements around in your environments and ensure that they don’t lose information along the way.

Add the Document Version information to the document reports
Please add the document library column "version" that stores the value of the most current document version to the document reporting. Thanks! I love you guys!

– Version- and approval-related settings in Lists and libraries (enabled or not, major/minor limits, require checkout, approval setting)
– Version number for items and documentsHopefully this now covers all needs!

All special characters should now be properly handled in Sharegate.
Note: Know that different platforms (2013, 2016, O365, file share, Google Drive, Box) support different special characters, so you’ll still have replacements in some cases.

Bring back the web application level selection in the Explorer
Can’t I just pick one web application and Sharegate would know about all the site collections in that web application? I seem to remember this was possible in the older Sharegate 5+ series.

Edit Existing Scheduled Tasks
It's great that you have made the option for Scheduling available, it's really useful but what happens if you made an error and you want to change something, you would need to delete the already made schedule and create a new one. The same would happen if you created a new site collection that you need to report on.
How about, the option to restart the same Task in the history, I want the same report that I ran a month ago, but I do not need it scheduled, this way I could.
12 votesWith today’s release of ShareGate Desktop, you can now edit the parameters of your scheduled tasks. This should make you life easier and circumvent the need to delete and recreate a schedule from scratch.

Separate or filter O365 Groups From other Site Collection
All of the groups now appear along my site collections, which make it a whole mess to actually get a Permissions Matrix Report of what I need. Could you divide the actual Site Collections from the Group Sites? As in Microsoft Admin Center?

Add URL object in Explorer - Sort by URL
In explorer view, It would be nice when looking at all the site collections in a web application, if I could sort by URL instead of the name of the site collection.
