Delete items from selected items in a result report
I would like to be able to create a report in Sharegate, and then be able to select items in the report (either sites or lists/libraries) and delete them from the corresponding SharePoint farm.
12 votesWith our latest release (5.19), you can now delete files, lists and libraries directly from the Quick Actions panel added to report results!

Thanks a lot for helping us getting better!

Automatically expand the groups in the Permission Matrix Report
-Currently, you need to expand the groups as a second operation after the Permission Matrix Report is completed. In some cases, it takes as long as the report itself. I'd like the ability to toggle it by default when running the operation.
-Have the ability to auto-expand the groups in the permission matrix report before the export is done or have a button to Export and Expand the groups in the report.
11 votesHi there,
Good news! With yesterday’s update (12.0.2), the groups will now be expanded in the Permissions matrix report only when the report is automatically exported to a library.
We are not planning on auto-expanding the groups in the UI in the near future.
We hope this will help you in your workflows.
Cheers,

Download OneDrive content at subfolder level
to have the option to download content from OneDrive subfolders. Currently limited to library level.
11 votesWith today’s release, we added the ability to download only some files in a document library.
This can be done either directly from the explorer or with the results of a report on documents (which will allow you to filter for desired documents).
Hope you enjoy that new feature.
Don’t hesitate to give us feedback, we always appreciate it!

Office 365 groups report
It would be wonderful to have a report that would report against Office 365 groups. I'm particularly looking for one that would report on all groups that were created as "Public" and who created the group.
11 votesIt is now possible to report on O365 Groups, with filters and report columns for properties specific Groups such as Private/Public, owners, members, etc.
We’re moving forward with more O365 Groups support in management and migration, look for it in upcoming releases.

Export more than 50 tasks at a time - Number of results per page
I really miss the option in the "All tasks" (previous reports) to select more than 50 items. I'm doing migrations up to 700 sites which makes copy/pasting 14 different reports into 1 Excel file a lot of efforot. Is there a way to export all tasks or more than 50 to 1 Excel?
10 votesGreetings from Sharegate!
At the beginning of April, we released Sharegate 7.4 that contains the functionality to display more than 50 items in All Tasks. It is now possible to display 50, 100, 200 and 500 items per page. We hope it is answering your needs! Please leave us your feedback! -
Clean Orphaned Users directly from the report
Please put in an option to "clean orphaned users" in the report, as I was in the Reporting option and it only gave me a read only option. I was confused as I wanted to clean and go through the orphaned users, but that is in explorer. Thank you!
10 votesWith the release of Sharegate Desktop 8.5, it is now possible to clean orphaned users directly from the Orphaned Users report.
This should make it easier and faster to get rid of those users.

There were some remaining issues on Microsoft’s side with long URLs (up to 400 chars) when using the migration API (Insane mode). They were finally fixed recently and we’ll be updating Sharegate in the next release (Sept. 5) to fully support all migration paths for long URLs up to 400 characters.
Side note : Files above 2GB still cannot go through Insane mode. Again, this is a limitation in Office 365 and not in Sharegate. We’ll support it as soon as a fix is available.

Have a warning when Sharegate fall back to the parent site when connecting to a location that doesn't exist
Or have an option to prevent URL fallback
9 votesGreat news from Sharegate!
Today we released Sharegate 8.0! The Connect-Site command will display an error message if the URL is invalid and will no longer try to fallback.
Don’t forget to leave us your feedback!

Migrate modern MS Teams Wiki pages. As of right now, we can migrate the .mht file in the background but we cannot re-establish it as a modern wiki page at the destination.

Copy Teams' channels with PowerShell
It would be nice to be able to migrate Teams' channels through PowerShell as can be done within the UI.
7 votesWith the launch of ShareGate Desktop 15.3, it is now possible to copy only specific channels in Teams migration using PowerShell. These channels can be either copied as a new Team or into an existing Team.

Automatic Export of Scheduled Tasks
I have a few tasks on a weekly schedule. I thought it would be great if a completed task could be automatically exported to a SharePoint library for end-users to see and work with. Now I’m the only one in the company of 2000 employees that can run sharegate. I won’t be able to run tasks on demand. It has to be some automated functionality.
6 votesWe’ve added the ability to automatically export reports and migration reports to a SharePoint document library upon completion of the task. This also applies to scheduled tasks. By leveraging the power of Microsoft Flow (or workflow for on-premise users), you will be able to move that report to wherever you want, be it email or PowerBI.

Migration of ASPX Pages in Insane Mode
That’s unfortunate, since recently just changed over 15K files from .htm/.html to .aspx as the .html files prompt for download in Sharepoint Online. Therefore, we were advised to change them on the source. Are there any plans to change the Sharegate application to allow to copy .aspx pages in Insane mode?

Download single file with Download Content features
Client would like to be able to use the Download Content feature of the explorer down to the document level. He has several documents across site collections in his farm that he needs to search and download and right now, he has to download the whole library or list.
6 votesWith today’s release, we added the ability to download only some files in a document library.
This can be done either directly from the explorer or with the results of a report on documents (which will allow you to filter for desired documents).
Hope you enjoy that new feature.

Support for incremental Teams copy via PowerShell
Is it possible to add incremental support to the Copy-Team cmdlet in ShareGate PowerShell. The initial copy is supported, allowing bulk migrations using e.g. CSV-input, but performing incremental migrations currently requires the UI where each incremental needs to be started separately.
5 votesWith the release of ShareGate 15.3, it is now possible to run incremental copies of Team copy through PowerShell.
Documentation on how to do this is available here: https://support-desktop.sharegate.com/hc/en-us/articles/4409774802196-Copy-Team-Incremental

Support the migration of mega menus in SPO modern
Since January 2019, there's a new element in the SPO modern environment called mega menus which is a re-skin of the site navigation. They are not currently being migrated on a 1:1 basis.
5 votesWith today’s release of ShareGate Desktop, mega menus will now be migrated correctly.

Add Filters in All Tasks Report
- Scheduled Tasks Filters
- Add Time range to filters
Hello, is there a way to make the All Tasks History show an option for Scheduled Tasks that will show, say audit information for a site collection weekly...I can then filter for those scheduled reporting to filter off items that are separate from regular migration, etc. Thank you!
5 votesGreetings from Sharegate !
We released Sharegate 7.2 this week and I think you’ll be happy to discover the new filters in the All Tasks History. So it is now possible to filter by date (within a range), status (Completed, In progress and Canceled) and type (Migration, Pre-Check, Permissions Matrix Report, Report and Inventory).
As always, your feedback is more than welcome, let us know what you think!

Migrate to Groups or Teams
Would love to see an option to migrate/move content from SP2010 or SharePoint Online to a Teams or Group site.
5 votesHi,
Sharegate now fully supports migration to both Team sites connected to Groups and Communication sites. Also, connecting directly to the Site Collection associated to your Microsoft Teams, you shouldn’t have any problems with a simple file migration.
Regards,
