Bring back the edit button on default reports
I’m really enjoying v10 and all the streamlining you did. I do miss though the ability to customize an out of the box report and save it as a personal report. It appears there is no longer an edit/pencil icon and I have to create the custom report from scratch so it usually takes me a few trial and errors to get it right.
For example, I wanted to edit the sites with no activity for 6 months and make it 12 months. Before I thought I could edit the existing report parameters, though I could be mistaken.
4 votesWith the release of the latest patch, it is now possible to duplicate and modify default reports so that they match you needs.
Thank you for your suggestion. Please don’t hesitate to give us feedback again in the future, it is always appreciated.

Cleaned Orphaned Users improvement
Our organization moves a finalized former employee account to a desiganted AD group called "finalized former employees". I wish when I ran the "clean orphaned users report I could choose between disabled users OR users in a specific AD group. I guess Sharegate is querying the AD info in the SP profile service DB and not AD directly so not sure how you could make this work fluidly unless your customer was syncing the particular AD group with SP profile service? But if you can figure a way to use Sharegate to act on users in a specific AD group/OU…

Connect Using Different Credentials for Migrations
Since version 7.2, I can't find any option to connect the destination with other account.
I would like to know how do I perform a migration with Run as Account (our migration service account) just like the previous version.4 votesThe issue was resolved with the 7.3 release.

Allow listing of office 365 groups with other permission levels than Global admin
Currently, the graph API will only allow us to list O365 Groups with Global Admin Rights. This limitation prevents some user from using Sharegate to manage the groups when they can in fact, access them with lower permission levels outside of Sharegate.
4 votesWith the release of ShareGate Desktop 12.0, SharePoint administrator will have access to listing Office 365 groups, if and only if the Global admin have consent the permissions for the Office 365 application.
The procedure to have your Global Admin consent is available here: https://support-desktop.sharegate.com/hc/en-us/articles/360033358471-How-can-a-Global-Admin-grant-admin-consent-of-the-Azure-ShareGate-Desktop-app-to-all-users-

Can you add file count and item count at the list level?
It would be an amazing help if you could add file and document count for a list at its root. A lot of times when we're looking to migrate a list we know it has say 5,000 items, but because we cannot see it in ShareGate, we have to go back into the site and look it up by name, which is a bit tedious at times. If we could see the file and item count at the list level that would be a great help.

Option to apply "restore inheritance" to sub-folders
The problem I have is that this particular library has multiple folders and each with many more child folders.
It would be good to have the option to apply to sub-folders

Replace the X button with a Save button in the Copy options screen
The x in this “Copy Options” dialog box appears to be a Cancel button, not a Save button. ShareGate is normally so on top of its UI decisions – it’s good to know that you’re at least somewhat human. If in a later iteration you could change this to a Save button, us full mortals would be so much more deeply in love with you and your product!
3 votesWith the release of ShareGate Desktop 12.0, we’ve changed the look of this button to reduce the confusion it could cause.
Thank you for this feedback, we’re always happy to listen to suggestions like this that can help us improve the experience with the application.

Change group owner in Sharegate
Anthony wants the Owners security group members to be able to manage group memberships, in order to do that he needs to change the group owner from the site collection admin to the "Owners" group. It should be added to the transformation options for a group object when editing one in the Explorer.
3 votesWith the release of ShareGate Desktop 11.0, it is now possible to set Security Groups as owners.
Thank you for your feedback and don’t hesitate to do it again in the future.

Bulk management of Site Collection features
It's not possible to manage the Site Collection features for multiple Site Collection at a time. It needs to be done one by one. I'd like to be able to bulk edit those features.

Rerun a migration from a migration report
A very usefull featuere would be if I could go to a previous migration report and be able to go back to the migration steps and be able to rerun the migration by changing the parameters. It would be especially usefull to do in incremental update.
3 votesHi,

Data Transfer - Speed Indicator
I need some sort of speed indicator to show Destination speed and Source speed in terms of transfer rate per hour. Can you please add this to any section of the tool that moves data? This can help identify a throttle being placed at either source or destination, and also help with a more accurate view into network traffice.

I would love to be able to have a select all button on the page where you select your targets.

Progress Bar In Report
Probably not a new Idea, but I'd like a progress bar in reports. Even just to see if it's running and how fast.
Just like spybot S&D used to do: (124234/12331213) scanned.
If the last number is too difficult to retrieve, just the count of how many items are scanned would be awesome.
3 votesHi from Sharegate!
Sharegate 5.16 is now available and we’ve added information (items count) when running reporting tasks.
Thanks a lot for helping us to improve!

Good evening!
Thanks for using Sharegate!
You can now delete SharePoint objects directly from the Explorer. Depending on the object type it might move to the (or one of) recycle bin or delete permanently!
Have a nice day!

See the workflow type in reports (SP 2010 / 2013 / Nintex)
Just curious if there is a way to check if a workflow is a SharePoint 2010 Workflow or a SharePoint 2013 Workflow and allow for sorting / filtering.
3 votesWe’ve just release Sharegate 5.15 where you will find Inventory details for SharePoint and O365.
You can find inside the inventory of SharePoint 2010 /2013 / Nintex workflows and if they are Reusable, Site or list workflow!
If you have any other questions, just let me know and I’ll be happy to help. And have a fantastic Monday!

Keep name for scheduled tasks when editing options
It's very good to be able to rename tasks thanks to last November 2020 update.
I really love this new feature. But when I need to update a scheduled task setting, once update has been done and saved, the task's name is being lost and I have to rename it again.
Maybe it's an "incorrect" usage from my side, but when I do so, I have to do a 3 steps action to update my scheduled task :
1 : open "rename task and edit schedule", to copy / paste my task name in a notepad before any update, then…2 votesThanks for this suggestion. This was actually a bug and is now fixed.
We really appreciate when users reach out and help us improve our application.
