Use the "And" or "Or" Logic on Filters in Reports
As it stand, the Reporting feature only supports the "And" logic when adding filters to a report. This is a request to have the option to use the "Or" logic when having multiple filters.

Our stance still stand on this feature and we still wish to provide it to you guys eventually.
At this point this is more a question of priority and once we feel like our features to move to the cloud and other environnements are on point, we will get to this.

This is literally the first thing I tried to do with the tool.
Clean-up is part of migration.
We should ask for our money back if support is 7+ years! -

Not having an 'OR' filter in this day and age is a bit poor of such a great tool.

Yes please, this feature is rally needed. I have inherited a SharePoint online tenant, where the SharePoint user groups have been left to fend for themselves :-( I have located 192k Orphaned users but I can I'm un-easy about hitting the big tick to clear them all out. I would like to create a custom report where the email address = 'X' OR email address = 'Y' OR email address = 'Z' with those staff I know have long gone. I would also like when viewing a page of results be able to select a persons first entry, then scroll down and choose their last entry with the 'Shift' key pressed and they are all highlighted. Would this fall under the same change or is it another thread ?

Yes! This is a much-needed feature. Just racked my head for a few hours on a friday wondering why my report wasn't generating with the filters I had set and then I realized that it was using And and not Or logic... This would be a game-changing feature for reporting.

I am trying to create a report that I can use to find only image file extensions. I can do it with one extension at a time but would like to have a report that can pull all image extensions in one report

It would be very nice to be able to, in one report, locate all video files in different formats/extensions within a site collection. Customers have multiple video files throughout their site collection in none asset libraries which in SP 2013 On premise was not a big deal but now they are in the cloud, they need to be all moved to a asset library. However, now I know I need to do one report at a time.

I support adding this important functionality to ShareGate

This would be really helpful as for us to work around it we at our company are having to rename a lot of things in SharePoint in sometimes weird ways to get reports to pull what we want. The correct way is to add the or logic in the reports.

Would like the ability to user AND or OR on filters for reports.
e.g. Searching for users from multiple domains that have permissions on sites. Using User object type and filter is Account Contains. Seems to automatically use AND but would like to use OR on multiple filters.

Hello Christian,
There is already a possibility to search for documents using a specific type of extension with Sharegate. Simply create a new report with the Object type "Documents" then use the "File extension" filter.
But from what I can see, your scenario would need a "OR" logic (ex: docx or pdf or xls). Therefore I will merge your suggestion with the appropriate one.

Hello,
When creating a report it would be good to be able to specify criteria using OR logic.
For example I've got 2 reports to find filenames with Comma or Plus characters. It would be good to create a report that would find files with either Comma OR Plus characters.
At the moment I have to run two reports separately.

Being able to find .docx, .js, etc..
Now if you write .docx or .js you won't get results
if you run a report with "docx" "js" you will get results -

I would like to be able to make a report using OR. For example: I want to find all documents with Passport in the name, OR with License in the name OR with Identification in the name.
Next to that, I would like to be able to start multiple reports to run on one Site collection. We do a lot of capacity management reporting and for every site collection I now need to click a lot to run the 20 different reports. It would be great to be able to select the different reports, select the site collection once - and get an excel file with all the information.

Hello,
I opened a ticket for this question, and got the response that the functionality is not available in reporting currently. My question was how to put an OR criteria into a report. For instance documents created OR modified by a user.
