Not being able to edit the default template is a massive hindrance and a large oversite on the development team's part

We have had a lot of trouble with a SharePoint Online timer job deleting Team sites that no longer have a O365 Group associated with them. To avoid this site deletion when the group is missing, I am now avoiding associating sites with an O365 group whenever possible. It would be nice if the default site template was Team Site with No Group. We can always add the group later to the site, but there is no way to remove the O365 group from the site.
Thank you,

Is it possible to modify the default template to always apply that template? No permissions, incremental, exclude specific file extensions.

Hi, I spend my days migrating SharePoint sites. When choosing copy structure for Action to perform your default is "copy as a subsite" - the default option should be "merge with" as most migrations are copying sites to be the same, not copying so you can create a subsite - how about changing this!

When copying, for example from a file server into a SharePoint Online Library:
Saving a template to do an Incremental and untick the option to Preserve Permissions, when saving this template it re-ticks the "Preserve Permissions", meaning eachtime I use this template I have to manually untick this option. -

Every week we migrate ±60 sites from SharePoint 2013 tot SharePoint Online.
We need te migrate +1750 team sites tot SharePoint Online.
After Every migration I check the logs in tasks overview.
By every single migration I need ever time to check Warning and Error and that isso annoying at so many sites to do this. Please make an option to set your own default settings.
In the past Sharegate turned off Show Item level. In the last versions it is on.
In my opinion everyone will only see the warnings and errors first. -

Can we have a setting that changes the default for 'preserve permissions' to OFF by default? This is extremely annoying migrating content between environments that very deliberatly use seperate security groups and unless I remember to turn it off this messes up permissions between environments.
thank you

A nice feature would be that certain false negative error could be suppress. Like microfeed. Now my migration sttes that it resolved with error, but in fact they are successfull due to the fact we know tht microfeeds are not migrated. So these message could be suppressed or marked as false negative.

When migrating folders to SharePoint Online and converting the folders to a document set content type, the following meessage appears: Content types that are available to this Document Set have been added or removed. Update the Document Set.
This is a pain as this error message appears on every document set home page and a user has to click "Update the Document Set" for each one... If an admin migrates 100+ folders, this message appears for each.

I click on the advanced settings button each time and have to then check the "limit versions" each time. I would like it if I could set that to be checked with a 3 in it as default.

I am trying to check on the LONG address site names and I am continually expanding and contracting the columns. I don't know if possible to keep the "memory" of the column width during the migration session, the one I am in, and then make it "remember" it for that session. I go to delete an item and I have to .... go to the address bar top and resort from address A-Z and then continually expand the address column as it defaults to the one before (same session). I am comparing the lists in production (on the right) with a PDF / screenshot that someone took of the list and they are telling me what they want to keep. I have the title of the site, but that's different (somehow) from what is the official name. They might have some "nickname that they use for the site" . Thank you!

Discussion boards are not able to be copied over in insane mode. Continue | Cancel
Can we have "OK and do not show any more during this session" as a possiblity? I am copying over 9K items and 3K site objects and it is taking a long time as I have to continue to click on that. i KNOW you have the option to NOT have interactive mode. I would like to see SOME errors and try to fix them. I just like the "don't show again" during this session, checkbox IF possible as an enhancement request!? :) Thank you! -

Add an option to chose default settings for Silent Mode. In example, allow a customer to set "Copy if newer (incremental)" by default to avoid override of updated files at the destination.

Ability to have favorite migration settings that would always apply to the user:
- Check / Uncheck options (preserve permissions, include list content, custom permissions, workflows, etc.)
- Options for Copy as Subsite or Merge
- Incremental ...
- Etc.Let's say I need to run the same migration, it'd be nice if we could save the settings we are using (include list content, custom permissions, workflows, etc.)
