Disable Workflows when Copying or Importing Content
When using the copy content option to do an incremental migration on a library, the approval workflow on this library was started for all items in the library. Is this expected behavior? If yes, this information should really be provided as I was unable to find anything on your site referencing this or what to do to prevent it from happening. This can’t be something we would want to happen. It had quite a big impact on completing a migration since it created a huge problem I had to clean up.
Hi ShareGate Team,
We are also facing the same, in some cases I want to have a complete copy of a PRODUCTION Site, if I don't remember to set all WF to manual start, they all get hit off in my new site, what puzzels people a lot!

When using the copy content option the workflows on the library are not disabled by Sharegate. This creates an issue if I only want to copy some items over and not the structure of the library/site, but do not want the workflow to run. To handle this I would have to manually disable the workflow. This isn't ideal because then it appears I modified the workflow. Many site owners do not like this. Having the ability to select an option to disable workflows while migrating would be very helpful.
I am aware this happens with copy structure, however I did not learn this did not happen with copy content until I copied several hundred completed requests, only to have an approval workflow kick off on all of them.
