Rename scheduled tasks
I rely on being able to rename my tasks. Otherwise, it's generic like "Copy 100 items from Documents to Documents". I need to know what site/subsite it is, and so on. It appears there is no way to rename a scheduled task, even when it's a recurring one. Only the migration report generated after can be renamed.
29 votesHi everybody!

Rename Tasks
File migration jobs have a default name that cannot be changed. This creates lots of jobs with (near) identical names making it nearly impossible to determine which job is which task.
Make that option available in the UI and for Powershell jobs
29 votesWith today’s release of ShareGate Desktop, you can now rename your migration tasks, both in the UI when you migration has started or in PowerShell using the -TaskName argument.
I’m closing this suggestion as we don’t plan to do it for reports. If this is something you wish to have in the future, please don’t hesitate to submit a new suggestion.

Export more than 50 tasks at a time - Number of results per page
I really miss the option in the "All tasks" (previous reports) to select more than 50 items. I'm doing migrations up to 700 sites which makes copy/pasting 14 different reports into 1 Excel file a lot of efforot. Is there a way to export all tasks or more than 50 to 1 Excel?
10 votesGreetings from Sharegate!
At the beginning of April, we released Sharegate 7.4 that contains the functionality to display more than 50 items in All Tasks. It is now possible to display 50, 100, 200 and 500 items per page. We hope it is answering your needs! Please leave us your feedback! -
Automatic Export of Scheduled Tasks
I have a few tasks on a weekly schedule. I thought it would be great if a completed task could be automatically exported to a SharePoint library for end-users to see and work with. Now I’m the only one in the company of 2000 employees that can run sharegate. I won’t be able to run tasks on demand. It has to be some automated functionality.
6 votesWe’ve added the ability to automatically export reports and migration reports to a SharePoint document library upon completion of the task. This also applies to scheduled tasks. By leveraging the power of Microsoft Flow (or workflow for on-premise users), you will be able to move that report to wherever you want, be it email or PowerBI.

Add Filters in All Tasks Report
- Scheduled Tasks Filters
- Add Time range to filters
Hello, is there a way to make the All Tasks History show an option for Scheduled Tasks that will show, say audit information for a site collection weekly...I can then filter for those scheduled reporting to filter off items that are separate from regular migration, etc. Thank you!
5 votesGreetings from Sharegate !
We released Sharegate 7.2 this week and I think you’ll be happy to discover the new filters in the All Tasks History. So it is now possible to filter by date (within a range), status (Completed, In progress and Canceled) and type (Migration, Pre-Check, Permissions Matrix Report, Report and Inventory).
As always, your feedback is more than welcome, let us know what you think!

Keep name for scheduled tasks when editing options
It's very good to be able to rename tasks thanks to last November 2020 update.
I really love this new feature. But when I need to update a scheduled task setting, once update has been done and saved, the task's name is being lost and I have to rename it again.
Maybe it's an "incorrect" usage from my side, but when I do so, I have to do a 3 steps action to update my scheduled task :
1 : open "rename task and edit schedule", to copy / paste my task name in a notepad before any update, then…2 votesThanks for this suggestion. This was actually a bug and is now fixed.
We really appreciate when users reach out and help us improve our application.

Fix date jump when editing scheduled migration
A couple of times now I've scheduled a migration to run later the same day. Then I decide I need to change the start time only, not the date. If I I go to the Scheduled tab, edit the schedule for the migration, the date automatically changes to the following day as soon as the schedule window opens. This has screwed me at least a couple of times because I didn't notice it since I only changed the time and didn't touch the date. This only happens when editing the schedule for a migration scheduled for today, not for migrations…
2 votesHello there,
Just wanted to say that this issue has been fix in a recent patch. You should now be able to edit the schedule of a task without it jumping a day for no reason. For more info about our bug fixes, here are our release notes: https://support-desktop.sharegate.com/hc/en-us/articles/360030948832-Patch-11-0-4

Add the "manage columns" feature in the all tasks page
I’d like to see the Source Path and Destination Site Name.
2 votesGreetings from Sharegate !
We released Sharegate 7.2 this week and I think you’ll be happy to discover the new Manage Columns button in the All Tasks History. The “Source Url” and “Destination Url” columns are there, available to add in the view. They will be added at the end, and of course, the columns can be reordered as you see fit.
As always, your feedback is more than welcome, let us know what you think!

Changing Migration Report Name Broke
When you edit the report name for a migration/migration report, the new report name is not preserved when you Export/Save the report.
This feature use to work! Please fix!
Thanks!

Improve message when migrating ASPX pages
Please change the wording, it is very misleading, and I actually question whether it continues to process. I first thought it would copy everything in Normal mode.
Current warning: "The Insane Mode does not support copying ASPX pages. The copy will continue without using Insane Mode."
1 voteWith the release of Sharegate 8.3, warning messages when migrating ASPX pages (and other items requiring a fallback in Normal Mode) should be less scary and more descriptive.
Thank you for your feedback. Don’t hesitate to contact us again in the future.

Ability to Modify Dates in Scheduled Tasks
To be able to modify dates for scheduled tasks would be AWESOME. Someone on our team scheduled 20 permissions matrix reports to process every Friday, and then the team decided that Saturday would work better. Rather than have to delete and recreate the scheduled task, it would be great if the date could be changed. Thanks!
1 voteWith today’s release, you can now edit the time, date and recurrence of a schedule for both reports and migration.
Thank you for your suggestion.

Preserve pre-check reports in the UI
It would be useful for users, and support, if pre-check reports were preserved and listed like migration reports in the UI. This could save time if someone needs to go back for troubleshooting purposes, or to see if the migration yields different results
1 voteHello,
Since Sharegate version 7.0, any task ran in Sharegate (migration, pre-check, report, inventory, etc) is kept in the All tasks section. You can also filter them by task type if needed.
Regards,
