Export Report to PDF, Email, SP library, etc.
Export Report results to...
- a SharePoint list or library instead of to Excel so all users can see it and set up alerts on it
- in a CSV format
- a PDF file
- send by email, even automatically send some of the reports to the site owners for example
- a fileshare, or drive of your choice
Also able to do so with Custom Reports.

This has been our number one request in what seems like forever, but with today’s release of ShareGate Desktop, we can finally have a new number one!
We’ve added the ability to automatically export reports and migration reports to a SharePoint document library upon completion of the task. By leveraging the power of Microsoft Flow (or workflow for on-premise users), you will be able to move that report to wherever you want, be it email or PowerBI.
The options can be found in the setting screen of the report or in the options tab for migrations.
We know we don’t cover the PDF part of the request, but we encourage to go vote for it here: https://feedback.sharegate.com/forums/912880/suggestions/38625361

It would be very nice when running scheduled reports that you can specify an email address(es) to send the report to when it's finished.

For those looking for just a way to export a SP library, you could sync a specific library with onedrive, then manually save the report to the onedrive location locally and allow one drive to push the file up to SP as a workaround.

Alternatively, a great way reports could be exposed would be to include a "find-sessions" (similar to find-copysessions) powershell function to expose all sessions in "all tasks" and be able to identify scheduled tasks through a property, then have the "export-report" function expanded to be able to export said scheduled report by session id, or better yet include a "get-report" function to be able to pipe the report data to a powershell variable for other custom actions

It would be extremely helpful if local sharegate data (primarily reports, also explorer (live) data) could be exposed in a consumable format to clients. This would be used to create custom dashboards, based on metrics gather by the application. Unsure if this local data is stored in a local database, but some way for scheduled reporting data and explorer/live data could be exposed outside of the application for consumption, either through powershell, an api/sdk, or local database connection.

Hi ShareGate,
I'am missing another feature to save the reports to disk or a sharePoint library. Because multiple users need to download the reports. As now these reports are being generated on a dedicated virtual machine... everyadmin logs in with his/her own admin-account and they see their own "ShareGate version'. is this feature in the roadmap or somewhere visible?

Let's first start with export options to local disk or a SharePoint site.
Currently we use ShareGate on a VM to generate nightly reports on the use of OneDrives.
When another admin wants to check the reports, he can't find the reports because they where scheduled and created by me.... so exporting to a central location would be really nice. -

I vote for having it uploaded to SharePoint Online document library.
I can add an alert on the library to be notified by email, when item is created.
Looking forword this option!! -

This would be a very helpful feature. I would be nice to open up a library Monday morning and update my Power BI charts rather than having to go and get the report and drop it where it is supposed to be.

The idea would be to send the results of reports via e-mail to specific users and also schedule that export.

It would be nice if you could select a SharePoint Online document library to put the scheduled outputs for reporting. This way i could output a permissions report and my users could be empowered to look inside the site they own to validate the permissions. I don't see any way in the tool to save the reports other than to export locally from the tool.

It would be nice if we could keep the similar layout of permissions heirarchy that is is shown in the tool. Our users are looking for a "nice looking" way to visually see the permission heirarchy. This could be a PDF version.

I have created a report to be able to send to our site owners for documents that will expire with 34 and 36 months. These have a 3 yr content type since last modified date. I would like an option to make the Location a hyperlink so the users can click it and open the document. I would also like an option to be able to email the report to a group of people when the scheduled report runs. One last thing would be to be able to include a column of the content type date + 3 years so it says something like 8/21/2017 instead of 8/21/2014 and then I can have the report sorted from oldest to newest expiration date. Please email me back for more information if needed. I currently trying to tak ethe excel spreadsheet that it exports and doing all these items manaully but I would have to do this everytime the report runs so it would be nice to have these kind of options. We have different retention periods like 1, 3, 6 and 10 year retentions so I will have to create a report for each. Thanks

So that when a report is run and scheduled monthly it can be emailed to the users to review.

It would be nice to export a scheduled report automatically as .csv to a file share.

It would be nice to have a printable report. I know I can export to Excel which is great, but a print setting would be beneficial also.

I love that I can schedule reports now. The next thing that would make this even more amazing would be if I could send the report in an email through Sharegate. For instance I have created a report and would like to be able to send an email alert to the user who has documents checked out.

Being able to automatically save the scheduled reports to a C: drive location of choice would be extremely beneficial. We currently generate around 250,000 audit entries per week across our large SPO estate which are loaded into a SQL-based data warehouse, as such having the scheduled reports from Sharegate saved automatically to a C: drive location would enable us to create a series of SQL timer jobs, to automatically load latest data. We would love this in place to support all available report types from Sharegate, to assist with continued strategy & usability across our 2,000+ subsite estate
