We are working on optimizing the methods used by the management tool to increase this limit but there is no ETA or new limit set at this time.
Would love to have an automated creation of groups process that could ask a couple of questions to owners before their group is really created. In brief, to have help with the beginning of the lifecycle of Office 365 groups.
Also, ShareGate Apricot’s inactivity detection would mean that the end of the lifecycle of O365 groups are also covered.7 votes

By adding a filter "Haven't Asked Owner", admins can select all inactive Teams/Groups and press the "Ask owner(s)" button. Presently, if even 1 entry is displayed where the owner was previously asked you cannot bulk act on the rest of the entries in the list without selecting them individually. Where dozens of hundreds or inactive Teams exist, the current process is too cumbersome.1 vote
