Flag guest accounts in M365 groups
We have lots of MS Teams that have guests accounts as members of the team. It should be considered for the external sharing review.
Dear ShareGate Apricot Users,
I have multiple news for you concerning the guests users:
1) Guest reviews included in the external review
Owners will now be asked to review their guests alongside their external shared links, removing those who should no longer be there.
2) Guests list are now visible inside the Group/Teams details from the manage page. If needed, you can also manually remove guests.
3) Frequency of the review
You can adapt the frequency at which the external shares review occurs based on the level of sensitivity of a group. (more info here: https://sharegate.com/blog/update-auto-apply-customized-governance-policies-to-microsoft-teams)
We’re currently adding a new column in the manage list to see the number of guests per Group/Teams. Also the ability to see if the guest is inactive.
You can contact me if you have any questions! I’m here to help!
Have a nice day!
Will this feature include a filter under External Sharing for groups with guest users and groups without guest users? If the groups with guest users only (no external sharing links) are going to be included in the review, it would be very helpful for us to have filters so we can anticipate how many emails are going to go out on the next scheduled review. This would help us inform our user community as we have many sites with guest users but very few with external sharing links.

As an extra, it would also be nice to search through all guest accounts. Or for example guest accounts from a specific domain.

I look at each group I see this did not mean what I thought and it lists groups where they have shared one or more files with an external user, not added someone as a Guest to a Team. So out of interest is there a way with Apricot to see a list of Teams/Groups that have guests added?
Need an overview of all groups that currently have guest users in it which is what I thought I could get
we need to know what groups have B2B Guest accounts, since that is how we expose content to external people.
We would also like to trigger (create) regular access reviews so that the membership is attested on a regular basis.
Groups with guest accounts may need to be attested more often that groups with just employee accounts.
