ShareGate Teams management

Add a minimum number of owners per group policy
We have a policy of a minimum of 2 (to 5 owners) per Microsoft 365 group and would love to enforce it with ShareGate Apricot and perhaps the Teams bot.

CC owner's manager to follow-up email
When owners don’t answer emails sent by Apricot, would love to see their manager (info found in AD) CCed the second email or the follow-up email. They’ll be more prone to answer then.

Archive Teams channels and messages
Add the ability to archive Teams channels and messages.

Give non-admins access to ShareGate Apricot
Would like to give access to ShareGate Apricot to users that aren't admin in SharePoint.
- To assign the admin role only within ShareGate Apricot.
- For example, for the helpdesk or the support team.

Allow download and/or export options of group content before archiving
Giving owners a way to back up certain files and documents would drive more owners to archive their unused groups.
- Maybe by adding an "Archive options" button in the email sent to owners in which ShareGate Apricot could give them this option (similar UI as in the Archive page would be great). Then, they could download their file/doc followed by a Go archive! for the rest.
Also, give them the option to move content before archiving. Using an AI logic to suggest documents users may want to move from a group before archiving it would be incredible.

Ability to set automated activity notifications sent to admins
Provide Admins of Apricot with automated email alerts when there is specific activity such as external file sharing, group creation, etc.
It would be good to have the option to have alerts sent whenever there is any activity, a group added, or files shared externally. If I don’t really want to entrust the group owners, it would be nice to have the option to just have myself alerted instead.
7 votesHi!
We plan to implement admin notifications through ShareGate Teams chatbot. You’ll be able to set up the frequency (instantly, every week or 2 weeks)
The first notifications will be:
- Newly Created Teams
- Newly Deleted Teams
- Newly Inactive Teams
- Newly Orphaned TeamsI’ll update the feature request when we start the implementation!
Thanks a lot, your feedback is appreciated!
Have a great day!

Assist users with the creation of Office 365 groups
Would love to have an automated creation of groups process that could ask a couple of questions to owners before their group is really created. In brief, to have help with the beginning of the lifecycle of Office 365 groups.
Also, ShareGate Apricot’s inactivity detection would mean that the end of the lifecycle of O365 groups are also covered.

Delete external users from Azure AD
We were discussing how nice it would be to have an "external user cleanup" feature added to the product. It seems kind of annoying that external guest accounts will always remain in the Azure tenant even if you delete a group.

Ability to modify Azure Storage Account
Once the Storage Account is set up, have the ability to change a new/different Storage Account in Azure.

Export the list of external shares of a group in CSV and Excel
It would be interesting to have the ability to export the external shares of a group in CSV and Excel.

Add a search by Owner in the Archive page
Add a search by group owners in the Archive page (like for the Groups page)

Add data of the unused group in email
It would be interesting to add metadata on the unused group to help the group owner make the decision to keep or archive it.
- Ex: last modified date, “those were the 5 last modified documents”, etc.

Ability to set a specific time or time-frame for when notifications go out.
Especially with the notifications directly to Teams (which most users have push to their phones) it would be nice to be able to restrict when the communications go out to Owners for a specific time or a set time-frame.
I see these more often come in later around 8pm and at least once after 11pm. For a better response and better reception to these new communications I think it would help to be during working hours.

Allow manipulations of ShareGate Apricot features via API
Currently functionality can only be performed by either the UI or the BOT. However in larger organizations, where automation is key, it would be useful to be able to include ShareGate Apricot administrative tasks in automation processes by calling ShareGate Apricot API's: (get - put - post - delete - patch)
- Purpose
- Sensitivity Labels
- Orphaned teams

Include SharePoint sites that are not connected to M365 groups
Apricot would be a more complete solution if it included SharePoint sites that are not connected to M365 groups, such as Communication sites. Most of the time these sites still need to be governed with the same or very similar policies as sites that are connected to a group.

Ability to create sub-categories for group purposes
To have the option to create sub categories in group purpose.
- Ex: Finance / Eastern Region.5 votes -
Automatically send an inactive groups report to IT by email
We need a report sent to us every week containing expiring groups.

Report on stats of different Teams in my tenant
Add stats/ data analytics related to what’s going on in their tenant (e.g. how many groups are in one area, who didn’t answer to the teams bot, export that info into a dashboard)

Give more visibility on the content of the files that are externally shared
Allow the ShareGate Apricot users to open the file that had been externally shared, see what's in it and info about it, such as who created it, when was it last modified, etc.
