hi
this is essential to use policies !! by emails or chatbot for Teams.

Being able to edit or remove the signature line "Your IT Admin" is important to us, as well, as these policies are being enforced and managed by our governance and compliance department, not by the IT department.

Although the logo is important, removing the signature line "Your IT Admin" is super important as it signs off with my name, and that is not my title or department which is confusing for users.

Please provide an update on this feature. It's now 2023 and no update on it since 2021. Right now Teams Chat Bot is not an option at my organization and the emails are useless as they get marked as spam by coworkers since we can't customize the emails to make it look company official. PLEASE give us an update!

Is there any update when we can add company logos to the communication emails? Even though I change the verbiage of the emails, coworkers are still thinking the review emails are phishing emails because my company's logo can't be placed on the emails.

I've added the resulting e-mail people at my organisation receives. I think this is wrong with it:
It has white spaces all over the black rectangle background,
It's white on black only (not convenient in an organisation which treats cancer on kids),
it's pretending an urgency (...as soon as possible) in bold typeface,
It doesn't show any other relevant info (was not able to add an other notification when sending a request by handpicking a Teams),
t's English only, which is not convenient in a Dutch organisation,
it's with ShareGate's company address info (why?)
No option for a logo, custom colours, custom textBottom line (and said before), people treat this as spam. The communication department disapproves this house style and text too. Please improve this option since it's worthless now for us to use. Only a logo won't be sufficient, neighter is the chat bot for this organisation right now.
Kind of weird that ShareGate spends lots of time to make their site and product attractive, but this is in dispute since 2019.

The default email branding actually has two logos.
1. 420 x 45 png at the middle-left (AvePoint Cloud Governance)
2. 167 x 48 png at hte lower-right (image of clouds)How is it the default uses two images yet Email settings allows only one image to be uploaded?
We should be able to use our images for both. -

The standard format is not suitable for corporate environments and after testing was initially identified as spam by over 50% of the user population.
Any update on when this will be changed/implemented?

Any update on being able to customize the emails further to prevent them being reported as phishing or ignored as spam? Any possibility of sending them with a digital certificate? The customization text box is very limiting and most users don't look at it close enough or scroll enough to even see or read it, when it The teams bot is not a viable workaround for our scenario and would likely have the same issues. Once the review period passes, there is no way to generate another email or sent a user a link to review directly from an IT team member, which makes it very difficult to try to follow-up on the unanswered reviews.

Just adding the logo is far from enough. For certain users mails in English (we are a Dutch speaking company) with a text that does not 100% align with our governance, but with our logo on it, will look like phishing (and we should commend them for that).
Not being able to customize the contents of the entire mail will slow down the introduction of Apricot. We'll have to communicate much more before we can activate the automation policies. -

The ability to add a logo helps but:
1. We don't have this configured yet, so it would be more flexible to allow a custom image to be added.
2. The main issue however is the lack of customization ability for the text itself. There is no ability to properly format a hyperlink, no ability to change the footer (which user knows or cares what sharegate is? They will think it is spam). The entire email body should be customizable, the current version is way too generic and restrictive.

Is there any update toward having the ability to have a bilingual email when sending out Notifications ?
-
Nicolas Guerder commented
Having the possibility to edit the text, add a logo (even better if linked with our branding setup) with a bilingual option English/French would be great to be able to use the tool.

Why not add something similar to the inactive groups customization?
Between our last 2 audits the message either changed or went to more Group owner (guest users maybe?) and we saw a lot of people reporting it as spam. Nothing on brand about it. Logo will be an improvement, but allowing us to sign it with something other than "Your IT Admin" (twice!) would be good.
The inactive e-mail allows more, copy that!

Looking for an update from Nathalie or another ShareGate Apricot product owner. Are there plans to deploy a product update that will allow for admins to customize the email sent to owners pertaining to the external sharing review? Requesting that we be able to customize the email sent to owners in the same manner as the inactivity detection email that is sent to owners. The external sharing review email notification only allow the ability to preview today and does not allow admins to customize the message. Users are regarding it as spam being that admins cannot customize the message to add corporate legitimation.

Is there any update on this suggestion? The ability to add branding and bilingual options (even if just through the ability to edit text) would make External Sharing requests pretty much perfect for our organisation's needs.

JL commented
I'm surprised this is not possible (yet) and that people need to explain the need for this.
We need to be able to send this message in our local language. All our company communications occur in our native language. If this is possible for the archiving message then why is it not possible for the external sharing check message?

George Southern commented
Please could we expand this to enable the customisation of the message as a whole?

As others have said - until we can customise the email completely (not just branding), then we can't really use it for our business users. They expect emails from central comms in a certain format and from a specific address and until we can at least come close to matching that up, it's not really viable. Which is a shame, because Apricot is lovely!

Editing the text is definitely a priority for us as well. Secondly, we'd like to see the inactive emails show which workload the group is being used with and potentially provide a link to the team and/or the SP site. When a group has been inactive, many times the end user will not know what it is being used with or how to review it in order to make their decision.
