We feel like our migration experience is quite good right now and we don’t plan on doing custom rules and filters for now.
Some of those can already be done using PowerShell, SharePoint views and other means.
We will eventually reevaluate this once we advance further in our roadmap.

We have no plan of improving the Source Analysis (previously known as the Inventory) for now.
We might eventually come back to it (or the pre-check) and will let your know if we do.

We are currently reconsidering this suggestion and are wondering if it is still a need for you, especially if you are an Office 365 user.
Let us know and we will reevaluate this eventually.

We have folders in our document libraries where we are assigning default metadata when an item is added. These default metadata fields on folders have to be done manually. Sharegate doesn’t offer that. So if we have 100 folders and migrate a site we have to go into those 100 folders and re-assign the default metadata that we want populated when a new item is added. We have coded this functionality now so that way when we migrate a site we don’t have to spend hours reassigning the default metadata.
