the Site Collection report shows only the display names of owners\administrators. Is there any way, I can get the account name or email of the owners\administrator in the site collection report.

I need a list of the users in the Members group with their email addresses. The report feature of Sharegate seems to pull users either from all the groups or all site collection, I'm not sure but I have users listed that are in either of the three groups. The permissions matrix in the Explorer is great but it doesn't allow me to add the email address of each user. is there a way to create my own report in order to have members of a specific group permissions with their email addresses. It will be great also if I could pick only the non-orphans users, as our permissions group contain users no longer at our organization. This list will later be used to migrate users to O365 groups.

When scheduling migrations in ShareGate Desktop, Is there a setting that one can’t start without the other finishing?

We have migrated out file servers to SharePoint. Our strategy is to migrate anything newer that 2015 and everything else to SharePoint archive sites. We are now reaching our tenant limit and I need to move the contents of the archives to cold storage. This will also happen with other data we have identified as dormant.

Is it possible for Sharegate to migrate images from a file share and maintain the custom metadata associated to each image. I have roughly 4TB of images I am migrating to SharePoint from a local file share each image has custom metadata that needs to be copied over to SPO. i.e Title, Date Taken, Dimensions, Width, Height, Camera Maker, Camera Model, Exposure Time, Flash mode. These are just some of the attributes each image has.

Trying to see if there is a way to check and remove 500 plus users from multiple site collections. When I run the Permission Matrix report it will not let me copy and paste all 500 users into Sharegate. It will only paste one user at a time into Sharegate.

Migration from Outlook to SharePoint :

    1. Does Share-Gate capture header information (From, To, Receive Date, Subject, etc) from Outlook Item (MSG) when migrating Outlook Items into SharePoint?

    a. From within Outlook – email messages stored in Outlook PST

    b. From Within File Share – email messages stored in File Shares

Looking into Share Gate as an option to migrate users PSTs content into SharePoint Email folders.

Thanks for taking the time to post this idea. We looked at it with the team and for now have decided that it’s not something we will be working on short term.

We’ll keep looking at the requests and update if we anything changes

Block site access to end-users while a migration is running.
