As long as we are able to change the key through PowerShell that would be perfect. PowerShell already has the ability to retrieve a key from an Azure keyvault. The issue we were facing is that we were unable to change the SAS key in Sharegate with PowerShell. If this feature is added that would be perfect. The migration we are looking to use Sharegate with would be running continuously, likely on a scheduled task timer. We would like to eliminate any sort of manual human interaction once we put that migration task in place.Caroline Vongkoth shared this idea ·

Since the default is now disabled. It should prevent most situation some of you are describing.
We still feel like the Auto-Assign as site collection administrator is a useful option in certain case.
If you encounter an issue you can always refer to this documentation to fix it. https://support-desktop.sharegate.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000647528-Can-I-remove-myself-as-an-administrator-after-I-have-auto-assigned-myself-as-one-

We are currently reconsidering this suggestion and are wondering if it is still a need for you, especially if you are an Office 365 user.
Let us know and we will reevaluate this eventually.
We have no plan of improving the Source Analysis (previously known as the Inventory) for now.
We might eventually come back to it (or the pre-check) and will let your know if we do.

Migrate active directory groups into sharepoint groups
We feel like our migration experience is quite good right now and we don’t plan on doing custom rules and filters for now.
Some of those can already be done using PowerShell, SharePoint views and other means.
We will eventually reevaluate this once we advance further in our roadmap.

With the different options already offered by Microsoft (Popularity and Usage reporting, Site health, etc.), we are wondering if the need of usage reporting in ShareGate is still relevant?
-Are there any scenarios where the options offered by Microsoft don’t help?
-How would the info gathered through this type of reporting would help?
Let us know how you think this would help so we can build the solution to fit your needs.

I ran the auditing report from sharegate, but do not specify the column name which was modified. Is there a way I can get more details about the event?

Renaming folders/document sets using Bulk Edit Metadata
Manipulate Document Set names in SharePoint Online using Bulk Edit with the current version of the ShareGate migration tool?
This is not in our plan as this would be a massive amount of work. We also fear that the results would be supbar compared to an hand-crafted script.
We understand that PowerShell can be intimidating but our documentation is there to help (and so is our incredible support team).
Sharegate cmdlet for a Audit report
Thanks for using Sharegate!
We haven’t added conversion of SP2010 Workflows into SP2013 into it yet. It’s a good idea, we understand the need. It’s a very complicated challenge! It’s not simple migration, it’s conversion, there is no direct equivalence between actions, even if we check 80% of the actions.
We’ll not work on that for the next month, we prefer to decline the suggestion.
